7000 a year in charitable donations, almost a third of it from thrift store hand-me-downs, seems light for the VP of the USA.

Seven grand is seven grand no matter where it comes from!

Christ, can't a man give something away without criticism or suggestion of ulterior motives?

Yeah he can, but honestly, tell me you weren't surprised at the number.

There are always other factors to consider... time volunteered to fundraise, etc. But, that doesn't change my initial 'whoa'.

No, if it was Joe Blow earning minimum wage I might be a little surprised!

There's something rotten in Denmark here, I was always under the impression that individual's files with I.R.S. were confidential.

Where does it say that Catholics are supposed to give 10% to charity?

What percentage of your income do you give to charity, Walter?

Well, there is some truth to that, back in the dark ages, there was a term "tithe" which means one tenth, not sure that it was ever enforced and besides I think charity donations are the sole business of the donor (and the fricken taxman).

Did he get a receipt? less than 28hrs left to file.

Oh yeah, they are on a different calendar down there!

He gets close to 400k for being vp and his wife probably makes more and he claims to be a good Catholic who believes in abortion so 10% should be given to charity.
Where do you get the 10% thing from? Do you use the envelopes or do you have PAD automatically every month?
