French leader has arrived ,..and more to follow.

The QUESTION is : Will the US leader arrive or will he find an excuse. to avoid it??

Any bets??

He could well be the skunk in the group....... , and we all know he can't handle anything negative or anyone questioning him or his decisions. He has managed to pizz off the entire group and more.and isolated himself and the US.

this would be Trump's first time to DCA as leader of the US.......and it is questionable if he will show up. He does not like multinational meetings......preferring bilateral talks......

His NK (KIM) meetup might take precedence as it is a lot more dramatic , with world wide attention.

Maybe, if they "dis-invite" him ....

He doesn't like multilateralism. It's never about HIM when there are six other leaders involved.
Indeed. The countries involved are not all that pleased with the Trump regime so , if he shows and things get testy........TRump will cry "victim" claiming they are all against him. Trump and his punitive actions are digging

Trump plans to retaliate against the retaliations ........ and is quite prepared to go bully UGLY even if it paints him into a corner......all self created. He is not interested in conc esus or what is best for all parties.........but only what is good for HIM.........

the fact that the tariffs are illegal.......doesn't bother TRump one bit. He will go it alone if need be. He is still in the "my lawyers will bail me out or "fix it" mentality .

flagrant abuse of power and grabbing / taking as much power as he can.

Perhaps the G6 partners could all declare the abrogation of all tariffs between one another and even the US. Heck, if the US wants to deprive its industries of low-priced steel, by all means.

actually, I am kinda hoping he does NOT attend. Just his being there will be a negative factor on many levels.....and not conducive to accomplishing anything.

I agree. Angry heads don't think rationally. In fact, if he's not there, the G6 leaders might be more willing to focus less on raising tariffs against the US and more on lowering tariffs between each other instead. That could benefit every state involved.

good points. He is too much of a distraction...and to be blunt......a shyte disturber. He fosters anger and dissension. ..largely to remain in the center of attention.

If the rioters don't have cars, they won't get very far. They'll take the Greyhound and bring their bicycles?

But he is the only one with balls.

With Due respect that is an unfair generalization. the Tariff thing is not "left' or "right".........they hurt people of all parties. Furthermore : the current ones ae ILLEGAL........not that it bothers Trump or his enablers ie fans. And the softwood lumber thing...... GRRR.

The softwood lumber tariffs have ended up being an extra tax on Americans who are trying to rebuild their homes after those two devastating hurricanes, last year. The US can't produce anywhere near enough lumber to fill their needs anyway and the demand was accelerated by natural disasters. Canada continues to ship softwood lunber and the poorly informed US public continue to pay the 25% tax to their own government.

MAGA!

We should help them out by imposing a 25% export tariff on Canadian lumber exports to the US and spin it as a sign of our friendly relations with the US.
