I expect that it is far more likely that he will either sit there with his mouth open in incomprehension or fall asleep.
He will be there just longenought to foster a toxicity that cannot be resolved. As Angela says: Better to be honest and say we can't agree ....then to pretend...The bully does not like large meetings........as he can't control them except by being stubborn and obstante. He does not play well with others .....as he has to be king.

The success of this meet up will be in that the G6 don't bend or roll over to the bully . He just wants HIS way .....regardless of the consequences.

Are you saying that if each leader missed meetings with one another, sparred with one another, left meetings early, etc., that that would make them far more effective leaders? Have you ever held a private-sector job in your life?

I've never held a job in the public sector except for a stint in Ontario Lands and Forests for a summer when i was 17.

What i am saying is that the Western leadership is dominated by peer dependant, passive-submissive petty ideologues, in thrall of New Age idols of Free Trade, monetarism, globalism, AGW, feminism, homosexuality, multiculturalism, atheistic humanism. Trump breaks the mold and does not play their game or grovel before their 'divinities'.

What he gives up in form and style, he compensates for in substance. The Macrons and Trudeaus are systematically unravelling Westen Civilization and there seems to be concerted rebellion developing against their morbid agenda, in the person of, but not exclusive to, Donald Trump.

Sorry coldstream, but you have it all back asswards. Trump is the one dismantling, not only his own country, but the world economy. Watch the Chinese closely as they are the ones who have been chosen by the ruling elite to take over the reigns from the Yankees. Donald job is to manage the decline of the American Empire. This will cause all kinds of chaos and the Chinese will be brought into to straighten out the mess - create a problem and supply the solution. Can you say New World Order? Y'all beef hooked.

"Lol Trump and substance in the same sentence."

Almost as much of a knee-slapper as Hoid and credibility in the same sentence.

G7 countries sign on to a joint communique despite global trade differences: Trudeau

You're being generous and optimistic.

Another explanation is that Trump is totally off his fecking rocker.
The latter would fit....

BTW He did not actually write the book "art of the deal"......but uses it as a catch phrase /slogan for the simpletones that support him.

He is YET to make a deal........ that looks like a positive / mutually beneficial for all parties involved. He is well known for destroying past deals that might not have been perfect but were a good starting point. He constantly complains about the US being "victimized"......and operates from the position of obstinaance. That is NOT deal making........it is bullying.

His conduct at this meetup was despicable, childish , patronizing and as usual self centered. His body language said it all. As usual he made it about HIM and not about the topics at hand. Situation "normal" for him.

Trudeau sharply criticizes Trump as G-7 meeting fails to cool tensions between the U.S. and allies

Canada's prime minister reiterated his threat to respond with tariffs if the United States does not change course. And he said he highlighted directly to the president that Canadians did not take it lightly that the United States has moved forward with significant tariffs on our steel and aluminum industry, during a news conference at the end of the Group of Seven meeting in Quebec.

Trudeau said Canada's citizens did not take lightly that its for a national security reason" that Trump used as the rationale for the tariffs, adding "that for Canadians who stood shoulder to shoulder with American soldiers in far-off lands in conflicts from the first World War onward, its kind of insulting.

Good for Trudeau..........as the group CANNOT condone that kind of behavior from TRump.......... with is totally counterproductive. NOT a deal maker.........as if he were.......he had his chance at the meeting. Instead , he arrives LATE........leaves EARLY.........and behaves like a petulant child. We are not living some medieval times where Trump's conduct might have been the norm. The only ones that support this immature conduct are his base. .......who have overdosed on the trump Koolaide which has kinda made them comatose now.

Trump's going to restrict access to trade with the United States?

No, he's not. His paltry couple of borrowed billions in not REAL money.

They announced that they have gathered up $3.8 billion to use to send girls in the poorest countries to school.

No doubt the white nationalist climate change deniers will be livid.

How did you ever get the idea that a deal has to be mutually beneficial? THat ain't a deal that is utopia.

They won't say what they've agreed about, though.

"We, the undersigned, together acknowledge that rain is wet."

That they are going to screw the workers even harder. For their own good of course.

Trump blasts Canada's Trudeau for 'false statements'; says U.S. will not endorse G-7 communique

President Trump said he instructed U.S. representatives at the Group of Seven meeting not to endorse the communique agreed to by the other six nations at the end of the meeting because of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's remarks at a news conference.

Trump accused Trudeau in a tweet of being "Very dishonest and weak" in discussions about U.S.-Canada trade issues. Trudeau had sharply criticized Trumps tariffs Saturday and reaffirmed that Canada would answer with its own tariffs July 1 unless the United States reversed course. Canadians, were polite, were reasonable, but we also will not be pushed around, Trudeau said at a news conference.

I Guess he can't say this nastiness face to face and resorts to Twitter right after he leaves the summit.

Just as well he is off to deal with Kim........but he does leave a trail of nastiness behind. ( so counterproductive .......) He makes sure he is the star of the summit even if its a negative force.

He is probably pizzed off because noone agreed to allow Russia back in........ He Couldn't get his way. That was HIS agenda.
