The Bud Light thing was blown way out of proportion by idiots.

It was ONE can sent to an influencer who shared it to her social media.

And the right had a FIT as if there would be cans with her face on it all over.

It's stupid, but also hilarious in the stupidity, tbh.
The right? It's everybody. If you think they lost $billions upon billions because "right wingers" all drank Bud Light and just up and stopped?

Modelo beers (Mexican) are now the king of the beer heap in the US. Bud Light used to be the go to beer for Lefties (Catholic Hispanics aka illegal immigrants). Not anymore.

Modelo Claims Title Of Top Beer

Modelo overtook Bud Light as the top beer in the U.S. last month, claiming 8.4% of all retail sales compared to Bud Light's 7.3%. The Anheuser-Busch brand held the crown since 2001, but boycotts caused Bud Light sales to dive following its April 1 ad with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Meanwhile, Bud Light U.S. retail sales dived 25.8% in the week ended June 17 vs. the same week last year. Modelo Especial sales climbed 8.6%.

Dylan isn't an influencer. Dylan is role playing for attention and in doing so making a mockery of being a woman and the soup as a whole. He is using the soup because you are stupid enough to enable him to do so.

Do you have any idea how badly this hurt the soup being used by Dylan to promote Dylan?

Proof its forced. Forced climate scam, forced soup promotion, forced, forced, forced.

Now we know what the WEF concocted last Davos Communist get-together. The UN and IMF are in on it too.

The EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is transforming ESG reporting. Starting from 2024, almost 50,000 companies are subject to mandatory sustainability reporting, including non-EU companies which have subsidiaries operating within the EU or are listed on EU regulated markets.

If this shit is forced it means the image of support for the soup, climate, feminazism, diversity etc etc etc is just a facade.

I try and stay far away from the downtown core .
Me too. The closest to West End I get is Pender and Main for the Newtown Bakery. Best bbq pork buns this side of the Pacific. Get in get out. There is nothing else for me downtown.

I’m assuming (I’m assuming a lot) there are different divisions in the 2SLGB & the TQ++etc…community…& this in front of children is acceptable to some not so much to others. Again from the outside looking in, I’m assuming we can expect some kind of a split in the alphabet coming to a theatre near you sort of thing….?
Here’s a weird one. From the outside, looking in I sort of suspected this for a while, and it’s just might be a CBC thing, so take it with a grain of salt…

If it's obvious from the get go it's right wing, I ignore it but if I'm not sure I'll put in who posted the story into there and see where their bias is at. I try to go with more neutral stuff, but sometimes I have read stuff from center left and center right places, since it's rare to find any pure center only publications.

Stuff like NY Post (right), Toronto Sun, Daily Mail UK all are right biased/right leaning that can go to the extreme. So I take their crap with a grain of salt.
A new report from the representative for children and youth is calling on the provincial government to prioritize the protection of two-spirit and gender-diverse children and youth.

Jennifer Charlesworth said that negative climates and stigma experienced by two-spirit, transgender, non-binary and other gender-diverse children and youth (2STNBGD) is resulting in a higher instance of injury reports associated with suicidality and self-harm for 2STNBGC children and youth who are receiving government services.

The LGB & are missing above…

Elizabeth Saewyc, executive director of the University of British Columbia Stigma and Resilience Among Vulnerable Youth Centre, said a review of research found most 2STNBGD young people face frequent misgendering, long delays in care, lack of access to knowledgeable providers, greater exposure to violence in communities and worse health outcomes than their peers.

Still missing the LGB above…& maybe I’m seeing something that isn’t there, but it is kind of conspicuous, at least to me, with the absence of Lesbian, Gay & Bi above…

Charlesworth's report makes eight recommendations, including enhancing legislative protections for 2STNBGD children and youth and ensuring that Ministry of Children and Family Development staff can provide gender-affirming care to 2STNBGD children and their families.

According to the report, gender-affirming care can take the form of social, emotional, legal and cultural support, as well as access to gender-knowledgeable physicians, chest binders, puberty blockers or hormone treatments.
The rest at the above link in its entirety.

Charlesworth cited the rise of hate speech and anti-trans legislative efforts and sentiments in the U.S. and Canada as factors worsening the conditions for 2STNBGD children and youth.

Now, without checking, CBC isn’t known for being overly ‘Right Leaning’ at least out here on the Prairies, & this story is out of Coastal BC which also it’s not really known for being ‘Right Leaning’ either.

At a closer look though, I do notice that the G & B are actually in there, but relegated towards the back of the bus (G behind B now) & the L is just not there anymore. Is something like this indicative of a split in the movement itself (?) just a rearranging of those that are more ‘friendly’ to this particular topic itself?

Is it a coincidence that the order of the letters has changed? That, on this topic, G is now behind B (?) and L is voted off the island?

The “B” above isn’t Bi now, & the “G” above isn’t Gay either. ‘NB’ is Non-Binary, & ‘GD’ is Gender Diverse…& maybe “L” for Lesbian is like the Green Party in Parliamentary discussions as being a thing that exists but is pretty much irrelevant on this topic or in general?
I can’t keep up . They are all full of it .
IT’s evolution (I think) of this movement. I read comments on stories and YouTube videos, most of the time anyway, regardless of the topic, for insight, & I’ve sort of suspected that the LGTBQ (is that the original letters?) community after blowing up into a much larger series of letters during Covid, might split into some different divisions. I’m not sure if that’s what’s actually happening currently and that’s what being shown above or this is just some other CBC thing.

Apparently, the News link that I have above is four days old, from Canada’s national government sponsored new service, and yet it’s only got about a dozen comments maybe (?) & you have to scroll down past other links to other new stories in order to find them. Not much of a clue there.

Pgs, I don’t know how old you are, but if you’re finding this confusing, would you find this more or less confusing if you were a ten year old? Twelve year old? Etc…?

The picture in the news story link still uses the old series of letters of LGTBQ but with a “+” symbol instead of this 2STNBGD newer series of letters, so who knows?

Ok…if Gays & Lesbians are out of favour or flavour, maybe you can answer a question for me that I’m not even sure how to ask, but in the above rainbow flag sticker picture thing….what do the Blue & Green stripes represent?

Smurfs & the Environment maybe? Does Smurf still mean the little blue guys with white hats (?) or does that mean a different thing now? 😁

I saw this on facebook earlier and of course now its gone. The trans and 2 spirited ones are the weird ones that run mostly vertical. The black stripe is for people of colour (how they got in here who knows) and the horisontal ones are stuff like progressive and shit -- adjectives rather than any groups. The LGB is also completely missing from the flag now. And if you are raising one without the mostly vertical stuff you are transphobic or at the very least in the stone age.

I've not heard of it put that way before, though I have seen the 2S added into the GLBTQIA+.

Likely the acronym is changing/evolving, or if the focus is on people beyond the G and L it's left out. Honestly I don't know. Considering the numbers of gays and lesbians now trying to denounce and negate the Trans and other queer people, it wouldn't surprise me if there's work to find a new way to "label" people.

Honestly I think how the whole thing is given depends on who is speaking. I use GLBTQIA+, some people go LBGTQIA+, some just use GLBT or LGBT...

The 2S is for the inclusion of the Native Two Spirit, which is becoming more of a popular expression for those who don't fit Trans but might be more gender-fluid, yet are from Native backgrounds.

I'd be more concerned with the study and what it says rather than what the acronym is.

I saw this on facebook earlier and of course now its gone. The trans and 2 spirited ones are the weird ones that run mostly vertical.

Trans - the light blue and pink with sometimes white - and the black/brown were added because of lack of inclusion in the original "rainbow".

The black stripe is for people of colour (how they got in here who knows)

Black and brown, yes. How they got in there? Because a focus was needed on GLBTQIA+ people of color. Because of their cultural backgrounds (ie extreme religious beliefs) they tend to get even more violence than white GLBTQIA+ people. And then general racism that's even found in "the community". It's there to promote GLBTQIA+ people of color, because they happen too.

and the horisontal ones are stuff like progressive and shit -- adjectives rather than any groups.

Um... not exactly, no.

The LGB is also completely missing from the flag now. And if you are raising one without the mostly vertical stuff you are transphobic or at the very least in the stone age.

No, it's not, and no, you're not "in the stone age" if you don't have the new flag.

Since the expansion of sexuality and gender as science continues to discover the different ones out there, there are more 'additions'.

Actually, here.

If you're interested.

While I get the reasons behind it, honestly, my personal opinion is that it does more harm than good. It's further dividing an already divided community that should be based on inclusiveness, not division.

Thank you. I’m on the outside, but do find it interesting as it’s evolving. The three years of Covid really saw it explode as people had more time on their hands to make up weird stuff….& and not just on this topic either. I didn’t miss so much is a day of work during Covid so….I look at things differently maybe?

I’m just taking a quick cooldown break as it’s about 90° here and I’ve been pruning trees, and I stabbed myself in the right eye (got the eye closed in time) but I am living monocularly as I punched the eyeball pretty good through the eyelid. 😉 I will need depth perception to go back and finish what I was doing.

I’ve watched a couple of different Australia, newscasters, laughing at Trudeau with an evolving 2SLGBTQ++etc…things that he must practice on his own so he could throw them out semi-casually in topics that really have nothing to do with that, but almost like a extremely drawn out exclamation mark/sidetrack to show… something (?) and then he will diverge back to what he was talking about, but probably not asked about. 😁

In the spirit (singular, not plural) of inclusivity and humour, I think I’m going to make up a new series of jumbled letters and try and work it into the conversation randomly like Trudeau with a straight face, and then veer back to what I was talking about…. As if I didn’t say them just to see if anybody actually asks about (?) or ignores that portion of a sentence. I think it will end in LMNOPee+ whatever the series of letters is.

I can get my right eye open briefly again, but it’s foggy as hell. Watering hard but I think that’s a great sign! Didn’t get any wood in the eye this time but scored up the eyelid good I’m sure. Sure, glad that an eyeball is compressionable. 😁 Might have a black eye for Canada Day without a cool (real) story to go with it.

Did you ever try “China Pastry” back in Regina over by my place? 200 block Vic behind Lee’s? It’s good, but they are addictive.

Um... OW... first off, hope your eye is okay. Just keep an... ahem... eye... on it ;) 😝

As for Trudeau - he's a dick and I don't bother listening to most of his stuff anymore. That said, I am glad he spoke out against Higgs. I find it hilarious that his fuckery with 713 is what might just get his ass kicked OUT of being Premier.

Trudeau is good for comic relief occasionally when he’s not actively out to harm Canada intentionally or inadvertently.

The eye sucks, but I’ve done worse with steel or wood chips. The eyeball compresses but it’s not happy when it does. It’ll be fine.

Still haven’t taken the time to really dig into Higgs & this 713 to really look at the nuances between the two sides, but I will eventually.
