Egypt have never lost against New Zealand.

The English speaking nation are superb at rugby, but in football they are minnows and are staring down the barrel of elimination.

So many matches in this World Cup of 48 it's hard to keep track.

Group L

Panama 0-2 England

MetLife Stadium, New Jersey
Attendance: 80,663

After a drab 0-0 draw against Ghana in their previous match England - wearing red shirts for the first time since 2018 because Panama played in white - easily see off Panama to finish as group winners and will play against Senegal or the Democratic Republic of Congo in the Last 32.

It was only the second time the two nations have played each other.

Harry Kane became England's all-time leading World Cup goalscorer...

Croatia 2-1 Ghana

Croatia, in their famous checqured red and white home shirts, finish in second place behind England in the group to qualify for the Last 32.

Third placed Ghana also qualify as one of the better third-placed teams.

Panama finish bottom of the group and are out of the tournament without scoring a single goal.
