I'm going to assemble a book.. The Sublime and Mystical Insights of the Divine Oracle - CdnBear .. these gems of wisdom you grace us with should lost be lost to the sands of time.
Good idea. We Canadians could use a break from the embarrassment you cause us. I'm sure the true Christians would as well.

this wasn't called. dumb refs gave gold to the u.s
ref had unobstructed view

.

You mean these?

I'm just kind of tired of Canadians just rolling over when they get the shaft. Speak for yourself CdnBear NOT all Canadians.. you don't have the credentials for that.

Yep- We Canadians are mad alight- But the Women's Team have shown the world that Women's Soccer in Canada is a contender to be reckoned with at the highest levels.

It wasn't meant for you Goobs or the other Candians that have some self respect.

congrats to the u.s. women's soccer team for winning the golf medal.

medals are just medals, memories are forever and the canadian women know what they did
and also what they nearly did, no one can take that from them.

athletes move on from dissapointment, they remember everything, but move on to new
things, classy people don't dwell on the negative, and they all know that officials
cause problems from time to time in 'every' sport, its just the nature of humans,
always has been, and it will happen again and again.

that is the chance all athletes take when participating in 'officiated' sports.

the boxing officiating is 'vile' always has been, just a joke, but I notice the
boxers still train, show up, fight their hardest and patiently wait for the
decision, and when it comes down, obviously favouring the loser, everyone just
shakes their head, 'what else is new'.

just remember what you actually saw, and not what the officials decided, even in the
olympics, after all its still just another event in the life of an athlete, just has
much more hype, and when its over they will all move on to their next event, one which
most people watching the olympics won't even notice, but the athletes, coaches and families
will.

I'm still waiting for you to comment on this, Eaglesmack. From the first half of the Japan/USA game. The girl in blue is midfielder Tobin Heath.. uh.. of the U.S. team... (no handball call).

I see her hand behind her back. Perfectly legal.

maybe you think it's success to be ranked below ethiopia, i don't.

not at all, I am a glass half full person, I see the successes, I see the positive, and I also
see how our country is ramping up their interest in helping the athletes, and I see more success
in the future, I see (from experience with athletes), the years of hard work and effort and
appreciate that, as I am going through my everyday routine, they are practicing hour after hour,
to show 'us' and 'themselves' their successes, and even all of the athletes who 'do not' win medals,
do the same, and I applaud them too.

I saw our BMX cyclist this morning 'win' a gruelling race, but he did not move on to the next round,
(as it was an accululation of points, and he just missed out by a small number),
but that race was terrific, and he should be applauded for the win, even though we won't see him again,
and there are lots of other athletes who did not move on, but did a great performance and that should
not go unnoticed.

I could never be ambarrassed by any of these athletes, it is an insult to them, to say that.

our women's soccer team won this morning, (bronze), even though offensively they
were outplayed, the ball has to go in the net to be a goal, and france couldn't
seem to do that, canada held them off very nicely, then scored a great goal in
extra time to claim the medal,
congrats to them for coming back from a big dissapointment to rise to the occasion
and fight for that medal, 'gutsy performance'.

YOU ROCK, TALLOOLA! :wav:

My sentiments exactly. I would only add that all the athletes from every country participating deserve our thanks for making this such a wonderful event. There were so many highlights in these games in so many events from so many different athletes. Thank you all.

GO, CANADA GO! :canada:
