Wow, the Sens got pasted by the Laffs last night....yep, they're winning the cup alright.

sometimes games are just unexplainable. Guess the sens
won so many games in a row, they just imploded, now they
can start over, wish they had played like that the game before
when canucks played them, they looked unbeatable that night.

Sorry Sens-fans, you're still an also-ran in the East. I don't think the Caps have the D and goaltending to do it, so I think it will the Pens repeating.

Most teams have beat the odds by making the playoffs and that is half the battle..

We all know the playoffs are a whole new season and one hard to predict..

I think most teams going into the playoffs with the least injuries are best set.

Canucks and Sens are well set this year and one cannot count out the Sharks.. But how many seasons have we seen a team squeak in and make a run at the cup ?

Hockey has a season of 80+ games.

If that is not enough to determine who the best team i.e. the LEGITIMATE winner of the Stanley Cup is, who knows what is.

Play-off are nothing but a crutch for those who must rely on nothing but luck.

Nonsense! If people didn't go to the playoff games and/or watch the playoff games on the tube, they wouldn't play them. Most team's finances are based on the 82 game schedule. The playoffs are pure gravy.

I agree, #juan.

But why did you not answer my question why, after an 80+ game season is it necessary to determine who the best team is.

Any fool can luck out in a short series. Proven time after time.

None could in an 80+ game season.

A team in the first round doesn't make much more money, much of it goes to the league, but once they get past the
first round, they make more and more for themselves.

I give lots of credit to how teams finish the regular season, while most people seem to only think of playoffs
and standley cup. For me they are two seasons, and as
you say anyone can get lucky, hit the right match up, and
make it through quite far, so I do enjoy playoffs a lot,
watch all of them, but don't base my judgement of the
teams on playoffs.

Just checked the score of the Calgary game....man do they suck.

The Sutters are a joke.

Did they actually think adding a bunch of Leafs would make things better?

At the Bell...got hooked up with box seats from a friend.

Sweet....much better than my seasons....what a life.

Here is my pick to win the Stanley Cup:

1. Vancouver Canucks

The Canucks will have to bring their A game and work like hell but they can do it. If they can get themselves into first place in their division, I'll bet money on them.

I don't even know what team is playing against what team
yet, so haven't got a clue, and even if I did know who
was playing who, I still would scratch my head trying to
make a pick.

EAST- WASHINGTON,NEW JERSEY,BUFFALO,long shot is montreal

WEST- DETROIT,SANJOSE,VANCOUVER,CHICAGO,COLORADO,NASHVILLE,
PHOENIX

I give Detroit the edge right now, as they are on a roll,
and looking very sharp, have a healthy team now, and if
they had of all year, they would be right near the top as
usual.

So much depends on the goalies, penalties and injuries.

A team has to peak just at the right time, and be rolling
when they go into playoffs, and keep rolling.

I will pick one team from each side after league play,
when I know what team will be playing what team.
