Since we're having a slow period, I thought I'd shake it up a bit.
Anyone else heard of this phenomenon? There is a certain segment of society who claim that if you are consistently seeing the numbers 11:11, say on your digital clock, that you are part of a select group who are given a wakeup call from beyond to bring the people of the earth together in peace and harmony. They say this is a genetically encoded thing that's been put there by the "midwayers" to prompt you into action. Now I'm not much of a spiritual person but I find it just a tad freaky and unnerving that I've been seeing these numbers for more than two years. More often than not I'll look at the clock at night and it will read 11:11. I don't intentionally look at that particular time...it just happens. And lately I'm seeing the numbers in the morning as well.
And not just on a clock. I'm a musician and about a 1 1/2 years ago I was onstage in Ottawa when a person walked by while I was singing and placed a business card in front of me. It said 11:11 Records. Google it. The studio is in Kemptville, Ontario. I had a brief conversation with him later. He was interested in having us come to his studio and record some things but the band as a group was not interested so we parted ways. I kept the card out of curiosity.
I've since moved to Edmonton and recently the cable guy came to hook up my home system. We got to talking about music. He's a musician.. His bass player may be leaving and he may be auditioning in the new year. I play bass and told him I'd be interested in trying out for the gig since they were into the same style of music as myself...good old classic rock. I asked him the name of his band. He said right now we're called the Beverly Brothers but in the new year we're changing our name to 11:11......I looked at him waiting for the punchline. None came. He was dead serious. I told him my experience with these numbers then I quickly went to find the business card and showed him. His jaw dropped. He promised to call if they decided to go ahead with the auditions. No word yet.
Just so you know, I'm not a freaked out individual. I hold down a pretty important job with an engineering firm, the father of 3 kids, a beautiful wife and plenty of friends who get along just fine with me. But this stuff is just a bit too 'out there'.
