I remember the media making a fuss on 11/11/11 and they consulted experts who said profound things like it was a mythological date that only happened once every century, and I'm like, well duh, you idiots, so does every other date!

No, and yes, and my thought is that not every apparent connection is meaningful, there really IS such a thing as coincidence. I've no idea how many times I've glanced at a digital clock and noticed numbers in sequence, like 12:34, or a pattern like 11:22, but I know they get noticed only because they appeal to the pattern seeking part of the brain, which is brilliant at finding patterns even where there aren't any. It'll find patterns in a display of random dots. Just look up at the night sky.
If you will notice that I spelled soles, as in footwear. Don't know what used rubber and plastic is. Souls have no weight but since JC and Satan are always fighting over them, they must be worth more than platinum.
Don't sweat it Spammy, it is also the beginning of the next Mayan calendar and the next giant leap in human evolution. End of Days prophesies have never come true, so don't expect this one to any more valid.
