It was $1.069 here in Vernon, not exactly sure which day(s)!

I gassed up before my mishap for .84 at Costco and it was 1.03 when I was discharged, and 1.09 in Cochrane on Friday, (its usually a few cents less in Airdrie)

Peanuts.

*ba-boom tish!*

Isn't it "budda-boom tish" :-D

Musta sucked paying off the student loans for your primary school.

As long as you are paying rent or own property you are paying and will continue to pay for it, a portion of property taxes go to schooling, your tax assessment should tell you how much, (it is included in rent as well). Now, I don't know what happens once you move to the manor or lodge or whatever the euphemism of the day is.

Why exclude the earnings? My education bought and paid for my wife's BA and my daughter's PhD.

When counting mine and my wife's income and daughter's potential (she just convocated) it is 10's of millions.

I was dumb and didnt complete my Bsc in Geology...

Now that Stobie Mine is closing ill have to become a roughneck which is ok because the real money is with those underground production drillers...

I literally scored a job as a metallurgist in november only to be laid off in the coming months... oh well

Yup. Miners make more than mine geologists but they have to sit in comfy chairs and run robots by joystick.

Go finish. It's worth it.

I did the lab at IPSCO (now evraz). It was at home and time with family well worth it.

I'm now a graduate student consultant. I'm glad I specialized in igneous mafic/ultramamafic hydrothermal deposition petrology.

Once the lode is discovered and the mine established, what is the use of having a Mining Engineer hanging about?

Them bums.

Development

Fresh air raises because you need alminaks to do that kinda work...

You need to understand ground mechanics to develop drifts etc...

Most lode vein deposits, (gold) require work too because when you follow that quartz vein, how do you know the RMR below your position is suitable for your rock bolt pattern?

Etc etc etc
