I thought wrongly it seems , we only had that agreement with Alberta .Red Seal is interprovincial qualifications. There were quite literally hundreds of Ontario tradespeople at both Kitimat Smelter and LNG construction sites.

Except...
The premier says Liberal policies in the last decade have resulted in “tens of billions in lost royalties that could have been invested in the health, education, infrastructure and social services Albertans and Canadians need.”
She reminds Carney: “Prime Minister, Canada needs a strong Alberta.”
“We will not allow the government to build a pipeline through Quebec,” he said on Monday. Go Team Canada! Elbows up, etc…Now the ball is in Carney’s court and the stakes have never been higher.
Does this make Danielle Smith the bad guy in this situation?

Since taking office in May, Bonin has mentioned the pipeline issue more than 20 times in his speeches on the floor of the House of Commons. Due to Liberal shenanigans, hasn’t parliament only sat for 9 days in 2025? Today will be day 10, & it will break for the summer vacation after another 10 sitting days…

She added that she wouldn’t consent to the creation of any new federal parks in Alberta.
“I do not want to see one additional acre of territory that’s within Alberta turned into a federal park … we certainly don’t need Steven Guilbeault telling us what is important to protect in Alberta,” said Smith.
“If there is critical habitat that Albertans want to protect … we’ll put in provincial parks.”
Guilbeault, a former Greenpeace activist, was shuffled out of the environment portfolio in March by Prime Minister Mark Carney but kept his role as minister responsible for Parks Canada.![]()

A relatively unknown employee in Environment Canada, who had quit her post three months earlier, told Robson she quit because the Brian Mulroney government had not performed a proper federal environmental review of the Rafferty-Alameda project. Rafferty-Alameda had been her file. She claimed Ottawa granted the project an environmental licence in exchange for some political goodies from Grant Devine’s government in Saskatchewan. The goodies included relinquishing provincial mineral and water rights on the site of the proposed Grasslands National Park in Saskatchewan and the translation of Saskatchewan laws into French.
Government officials denied the claim and unloaded on the former Environment Canada employee like hunters in duck hunting season. They tried to destroy her credibility. The employee’s name is well-known today. It is Elizabeth May, current Green party leader.
They should have just given her a case of wine.National Parks are IMF collateral. New parks means massive borrowing from IMF is coming.
Where do I come up with this shit? History. It's also the story of Brian Mulroney, Grant Devine and IMF goons chasing Elizibeth May out of Canada and into hiding in Alaska with the help of the Sierra Club.
How does that story go in a nutshell?
Saskatchewan needed money to build two new powerplants and reservoirs.
Saskatchewan was/is on an absolutely massive gas field. Sask transfered the gas rights to the Feds who created Grassland National Park who then used it as collateral for IMF loans for the dams and powerplants project (Rafferty Alameda) and more.
How does May fit in? Cool story bro.
A must read.
They almost disappeared her. I'll excuse her PTSD alcoholism. They should have just given her a case of wine.
