I did get a chance to see the first episode, but not any of the others as yet. I have seen the remake so I kind of know what the basics are anyway. It is really, really weird to see such an old show. Not just because of the effects but the attitudes are so strange. Like have a woman cry and the man will give up all the pertinent information, lol. That's a hard one to wrap your head around.

I don't know. Sometimes I have so much pop culture stuff in my head, I have no idea if I'm remembering an old line from a movie or tv show or if it just comes to me. LOL.
See those are good examples, I think I feel asleep watching Shakespear in Love (I don't even remember it to be honest), but I kind of liked The Aviator. But I like Leonardo DiCapprio, I thought he did a good job. He was good in Hoover too.

You don't have crappy taste in movies. You like a lot of the same movies that I like and I happen to know that I have great taste.
Oscar movies are usually very "formula". Sometimes the formula works and the movie is good, sometimes it doesn't work and the movie sucks.
