Unless it's Mexico where the policy has been open-season on Canadians for decades...

It doesn't matter really if an American wants to pretend he/she is a Canadian...

With a nearly equal level of intelligence, the two are indistinguishable....

Americans were (and may still be when venturing outside Fortress America) arrogant rude and petty-minded....while Canadians are ignorant rude and petty minded....

No biggy....

If the USA had an intelligent foreign policy, rather than one of imperialistic terrorism, no Yank overseas would need fear anyone else. He/she could travel and be open about his/her nationality.

Obviously.

If I was in Europe I would wear a button that reads,

IMPEACH BUSH!!

That would solve the problem!!

BTW, where's all the comments from the forum's right wingers??

There are buttons, shirts, etc. that say, "Don't Blame Me, I Didn't Vote For Him" Maybe those would help.

The RW's are probably all out doing their little RW things, whatever those are.

Gee, what happened to all the right wingers comments??

Isn't it interesting how they always avoid threads that do not cast a glowing light on their hero Bush!

Pfft. F****** Torontonians are as close to Americans as it gets when they travel, so the trouble with Torontonians posing as Canadians is that it makes travel riskier for Canadians.

How American to pass the buck. :p

Americans were far more popular throughout the world when Kennedy, Carter, and Clinton were presidents.

But the USA was far more hated when Nixon, Reagan, Bush I, and now Bush II were at the helm.

Coincidence??

not where i want to be
passing as anybody else

you just don't know!!!! i am a woman of color and international students love to ask me about hip hop, drugs, gangs, the ghetto and every stereo typical social ill in the us. then i get asked how in the world i could vote for bush or his daddy. i don't know about the above mentioned and i didn't vote for either one.our goverment and businesses have done some things that i am less than proud of--but i had no say.
i'm hoping for residency there in canada. while i don't know exactly whrer i want to pitch my tent, living away from here has a nice ring to the notion. a country having all the toys etc. has its price, including the fact that not everyone gets to play with said toys, or benefit from the cornered market of same. there is a lot to be said about vulgar consumption.

Hi izzy, I'm a Canadian who will soon be trying to pass as a Cuban or some other spieces

Actually I remember hearing a few tourist info shows, and traveling tips/tricks which focused on US travelers. They specifically stated that in some EU nations, citizens of the US can usually be targeted for muggings, assaults, and a number of other unpleasent experiences, and they actually stated to claim you are from Canada instead.

That's gotta be nice, lol.

But then there's the actual problem of all these people from the US, posing as Canadians, whom still talk, act and all that other stuff people in the US do.... and eventually people will start to think Canadians are jerks too.

Thanks again you guys in the US. Always know how to pass crap off to other nations. Soon you'll ruin our great name abroad and have to switch over to Polish. *grumbles*
