Protecting civilians in this type of urban warfare environment is especially difficult given Hamas’s calculated use of civilians as human shields, including urging them not to respond to Israeli warnings, and the extensive tunnel system that non-combatants were barred from using.
Saudi Arabia is not doing the samething as Ukraine. They werent invaded but Palestine and Lebanon were invaded and Ukraine did what Palestine and Lebanon did which is use a foreign sponsored paramilitary to fight their invaders.

So yeah, Ukraine and Saudi Arabia targeted Iranian-linked assets for different regional and strategic reasons, with Ukraine striking a vessel to disrupt Russian military supply chains and Saudi Arabia responding to regional security threats from Iran-backed Houthi forces.

Well, I'm not Jewish & I don't live in Israel so I can say absolutely they've done nothing for me but showed me what vigilance is required in order to protect the society I live in. So, I am taking their experiences & hoping the hell that we won't have that happen here. Unfortunately, it is but will we be willing to fight for our country, our freedoms & liberty like Israel has had to? I doubt it. They have courage, we have cowardice. They act; we sit on our hands & bitch & complain even tho' up until recently, we have had it pretty good.

Now, the walls are caving in & it's all about the Jews. What rubbish & a fool hearty view of what is happening. And we will rue the day we didn't listen to people who know exactly where this is all going. We just need to LISTEN 'cuz they're telling us what their plans are & how we (don't) fit in them unless we comply to their demands.

Past abductions forced Israel into asymmetrical prisoner exchanges, releasing hundreds of militant prisoners for a single captive or bodies. The military logic assumes that making a kidnapping operation difficult, chaotic, and lethal reduces the enemy's incentive to attempt abductions…like Hamas (& Friends) had done…repeatedly…already.

The Hannibal Directive authorizes heavy firepower along escape routes and at abductors, prioritizing stopping the transport over the captive's safety and it accepts the risk that intensive fire may injure or kill the captured soldier or nearby civilians to deny the enemy a functional hostage. The fact that Israel believes it needed to create such a directive is pretty telling unto itself.

On the morning of October 7th 2023, communication networks could not keep up with the flow of information, as was the case for soldiers sending these reports. However, the message conveyed at 11:22 A.M. across the Gaza Division network was understood by everyone. "Not a single vehicle can return to Gaza" was the order.

At this point, the IDF was not aware of the extent of kidnapping along the Gaza border, but it did know that many people were involved. The Hannibal Directive authorizes heavy firepower along escape routes and at abductors, prioritizing stopping the transport over the captive's safety and it accepts the risk that intensive fire may injure or kill the captured soldier or nearby civilians to deny the enemy a functional hostage. The fact that Israel believes it needed to create such a directive is pretty telling unto itself.

In an interview with Haaretz's weekly Hebrew podcast, Lieut. Col. Nof Erez explained that the IDF was more or less wiped out on the ground on the Gaza border. There was no one that helicopter or drone pilots could communicate with. This made the identification of persons on the ground very difficult.

According to Erez, "the Hannibal [Protocol], for which we have been conducting drills over the past 20 years, relates to the case a single vehicle containing hostages: you know which part of the fence it comes through, what side of the road it would move to and even which road...What we saw here was a 'mass Hannibal'. There were many openings in the fence. Thousands of people in many different vehicles, both with hostages and without hostages". It was shitty, but it did happen.

Circling back to your very specific 59 years claim though, The controversy regarding the pre-1967 borders centers on whether the 1949 armistice lines are legitimate national boundaries, whether subsequent control of the West Bank and Gaza constitutes an illegal military occupation, and how prior Jordanian and Egyptian rule affects sovereignty claims.

This is Netanyahu referring to a vision of regional integration, economic cooperation, and normalization treaties between Israel and Arab nations. The map used in his UN General Assembly speech depicted a trade and transit corridor connecting Asia and Europe through the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Israel…but that’s not what you’re portraying, is it?

He probably wasn’t at the UN in September of 2012 where this picture you’ve added comes from, where Netanyahu is using a visual aid to try and explain Iran's progress into three stages of uranium enrichment, noting that Iran had already completed the first stage (low-enriched uranium) and was deep into the second stage (medium-enriched uranium). The 90% level on the diagram represented the threshold of high-enriched, weapons-grade uranium required to build an actual atomic weapon, but we both already know this I’m sure.

This is at best disingenuous, but it is what it is.
