I’ll check that out when I’m making supper this evening. The U.S. move came after three tankers reported being struck by unknown projectiles in and near the Strait of Hormuz in recent days, the British navy-affiliated agency UKMTO said in a report. There was no immediate comment from Tehran, or any claim of responsibility.

Oil prices were up more than 5% following the announcement. The U.S. Treasury had authorized last month Iran oil sales until August 21 as part of the fragile agreement between Tehran and Washington. Tuesday's revocation cuts that wind-down period to an end date of July 17? The U.S. official said negotiators continued to work in good faith toward a final agreement with Iran despite the latest escalation.

The attacks and the U.S. response threaten to put the diplomatic understanding between Washington and Tehran on shaky ground (?), raising the risk that further retaliation could derail negotiations over a broader agreement.

This “understanding” (or lack there of?) wasn’t on shaky ground before the memorandum of understanding was ever signed?

Another U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said initial indications were that Iran ‌had fired at three commercial vessels.
False Flag. There are 3 players in this. 2 of the 3 have elections coming. 1 of 3 leaders relies on racism, murder and fascist empirical expansion to keep the regime intact. This leader also faces prison in his own nation but also internationally. He has to keep the war going or Greater Israel will never happen.

He has everything to lose, he put all the chips the nation has betting he can bluff the whole table.

I think there’s more than three players in this. Anyway, Oil prices have fallen steeply since the agreement was struck last month. Bob McNally, president of Rapidan Energy Group, said the developments "signal that the ceasefire is not as solid and durable as the oil market has chosen to assume," and added that "the oil market has some risk pricing to do."

Iran targeted American military sites in the Gulf on Wednesday after the U.S. launched strikes on several places in Iran and reinstated sanctions on its oil sales. Washington said it was responding to Iranian attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

The crossfire raised fears that the war in Iran could reignite, and U.S. President Donald Trump fueled those concerns by saying that the interim agreement to pause fighting was “over,” although he added that he would “allow” negotiations to continue.
(YouTube & Trump declares Iran ceasefire is 'OVER')

“The U.S. military’s Central Command said American forces launched strikes “to impose heavy costs for targeting and attacking commercial shipping crewed by innocent civilians in an international waterway.”

It said it hit Iranian targets including air defense systems, radars and over 60 small boats used by Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard.

“On Wednesday morning, both Bahrain, home to the U.S. Navy’s 5th Fleet, and Kuwait, home to U.S. Army forces, sounded missile alerts. The Guard issued a statement acknowledging targeting U.S. military installations in both countries.

Kuwait said it intercepted two ballistic missiles and 13 drones launched by Iran. Its Electricity Ministry said a number of lines were out of service after shrapnel fell on them?

This Al Qaeda guy that Trump is meeting with, that’s at the NATO summit? If held, the talks would mark the third meeting between the Syrian and US presidents in 2025. The two leaders previously met in Washington on November 10 and in Riyadh on May 14.

Türkiye, the host of this year’s NATO summit, has advocated for scrapping the designation on Syria as a state sponsor of terrorism. This Al Qaeda guy?

From this morning news, it would appear the war is on again. Since neither side has a firm grip on reality, it is difficult to say just what is happening.
Was it ever really off (that war, I mean) except what Trump was telling Congress so that he didn’t have to be answerable? Prime Minister Mark Carney has backed the latest U.S. strikes on Iran, calling it an appropriate response to ceasefire violations.
1783525372995.jpeg
The remarks were made on the way into the NATO Summit in Ankara, where President Donald Trump declared the ceasefire with the Islamic nation over. Trump again bashed the western military alliance for not joining the U.S. and Israel in the war. Going into the Ankara Summit, Trump said he’s had enough. “I don’t want to deal with them anymore, they’re scum,” Trump said. “They’re sick people. And they’re led by sick people. As far as I am concerned, it’s over.”

(Trump was talking about Iran and not NATO at that point, just for clarity)
“Trump also renewed his criticism of allies for not standing by the U.S. and Israel on the Iran war and said he might have boycotted the NATO meeting had it not been for his friendship with the host, President Tayyip Erdogan. He said he was “very disappointed” with the alliance and that the U.S. was not treated well.

(NATO is fundamentally defined by its charter as a defensive alliance. Its core principle is collective defense, meaning an armed attack against one member is considered an attack against all 0.5.2.)

“Iran's parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf accused the US of breaching their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on this issue, and others, including the attacks in southern Iran and "violating Iranian adjustments in the Strait".

"The era of bullying and extortion is over. It leads nowhere. We don't fold," he said.

Nato chief Mark Rutte described the American strikes as "absolutely necessary", saying that Iran was "basically violating the ceasefire". It is not clear when talks will resume (the Iran talks, not the NATO talks) after this latest round of strikes, as Trump responded to a question about further negotiations with the comment: "I don't care".

"Frankly, I don't want to waste my time with them. Now, I'll let our wonderful negotiators keep talking if they want, but I don't see it," Trump said.

"As far as I'm concerned, it's just a waste of time dealing with them. They're liars."

Aren’t most of the US bases in and across Europe based upon being members of NATO? Their forward operating bases so that they can deploy quickly on the other side of the Atlantic I mean? Wouldn’t pulling out of NATO be detrimental to their forward operating bases and stockpiles? This would reduce their force projection dramatically if they had to wait for rearmament items to come from Alabama instead of Spain or Germany when they’re playing in the Middle East for example.

Is there some other reason why all these European countries have allowed US bases on their territory other than NATO?

Bases can be on contract and not part of NATO and even contract to NATO like CFB Moose Jaw. CF pilots and NATO pilots going through training at the same facility.

Control of the strait, through which a fifth of global oil supplies passed before the war, has given Tehran immense leverage, effectively allowing it to force a stalemate with the world's most powerful military. While Iran has not claimed responsibility for the ship attacks, analysts say Tehran uses such actions to gain leverage in negotiations.

Asked before a NATO summit in Turkey on Wednesday whether the memorandum of understanding was over, Trump said: "It's a very interesting question. To me, I think it's over. I don't want to deal with them."
U.S. President Donald Trump said Wednesday evening that he does not know whether Washington and Iran are returning to a full-fledged war, but told reporters that Iran "badly" wants to make a deal to cease escalating hostilities in the Middle East. This sounds so familiar.
Trump flew back to Washington, D.C., via the U.K. on Wednesday. Speaking to reporters on board one of the Air Force One’s as he departed the U.K.'s Mildenhall Air Force Base, the president said American forces had "just hit [Iran] very hard."
The U.S. president dismissed the ongoing peace efforts and labeled Iranian leaders “scum,” but said he would allow negotiations to continue and did not think this new fighting would result in “long-term” military action. This time, Iran’s retaliation also targeted Qatar and Jordan, the latter of which said it shot down eight Iranian missiles at around 7 a.m. ET Thursday.

How come you only get to read about what is happening and not see what is happening?

Kind of makes you wonder what Netanyahu has on Carney, doesn't it?
We are making bank on oil. Producing like crazy.
Carney suggested that there were "ambiguities" in the original ceasefire framework that may have contributed to its downfall.

How come Trumps playing a shell game between Air Force One and Qatar Force One?

We all see things differently, so what do you see?
Its what I don’t see in 3 IDF theaters.

I'd like to see everything we've been able to see in all other wars including Russia/Ukraine where damage is shown on both sides and numbers of casualties whether forces or civilian are reported.

We know Iran blew numerous THAAD ballistic, Patriot long defense and Irony Dome in close systems and radars to bits and remainder short on ammo that will take 5 years to replace. So giving only the number stopped and not what go through IN PRINT sounds Reich to me. Iran is far from short on stockpiles and launch capacity.

Does it sound Reich to you?

During the last volley over Lebanon Israel lost an airbase but we don't hear these things. They aren't hiding damage from the enemy who has Chinese satellites and knew what was hit when they hit it.

You're the enemy they're hiding it from.
