So. . . question answered. Get stuck in. Or bitch about it and don't do anything.
I do all I can , never miss a chance to cast my ballot against the sitting member . And I let the constituency office know my views on impending legislation regularly.

Good start, and well done to you.

Ever consider running (standing) for office? Maybe start with some local, part-time office?

Never could happen , you need a constituency to get a nomination , which means church membership or union affiliation , some way to bring support to the nomination process which is virtually impossible for the average Joe .

That's the lay of the land in your area? Too bad.

Maybe that could be a campaign slogan "I'll work for you while those other bastards are schmoozing in church, the union hall, the Legion, or the bowling league!"

Smatter Eby? Desperate for the Injun vote?
He doesn’t seem to have an issue with pipelines that start in BC and go to the coast. It seems to be something more than that.
A lot of Indigenous leaders agree with the urgency of powering up the economy.
Canada was founded as an economic union between provinces. Tariffs and other economic barriers were a significant problem, which is precisely why the federal government was given jurisdiction over interprovincial infrastructure like railways and pipelines. It is not an exaggeration to say resolving disputes like this over a potential West Coast pipeline is exactly Carney’s job.
Firm political leadership from Ottawa is needed to change this legislative blockade, but the glimmers of that political will we saw in the last federal election seem to be fading. B.C. Premier Eby said he opposes any pipelines from Alberta…but what about pipelines that don’t originate from Alberta?🤔

….contingent on Alberta embracing a stricter industrial carbon pricing regime and a multibillion-dollar investment in carbon capture from the Pathways Alliance of oilsands companies, according to sources who spoke to CBC News.

CBC News spoke with multiple sources with knowledge of the plan or who had been briefed on it, but were not authorized to speak publicly before the memorandum of understanding (MOU) is released, etc…

The deal includes a pledge for a new bitumen pipeline to the West Coast with Indigenous co-ownership and the suspension of clean electricity regulations for Alberta with the proviso that the province increase its industrial carbon price.

The memorandum of understanding also says the federal government won’t implement its oil and gas emissions cap and, if the pipeline comes to fruition, the government would adjust the current oil tanker ban so bitumen could be exported to Asian markets.

Carbon capture rejuvenates old sweet oil reserves through EOR. CO2 is a highly valued solvent and a by-product of hydrogen production.

EOR, or Enhanced Oil Recovery, is a set of techniques used to increase the amount of oil extracted from a reservoir beyond what is possible with primary and secondary recovery methods.

It works by injecting substances like steam, gas (such as \(CO_{2}\)), or chemicals into the reservoir to alter the oil's properties and the reservoir pressure, making the oil easier to flow to the production wells.

How EOR works Primary and secondary recovery: Conventional methods can only recover about 25-30% of a reservoir's oil. Primary recovery relies on natural pressure, while secondary recovery uses methods like water or gas injection to displace the oil.

Tertiary recovery (EOR): This is the next stage of recovery, used after conventional methods are no longer efficient. EOR aims to boost oil production by increasing the amount of oil that can be extracted, often by up to 15% more. Mechanism: EOR methods modify the oil's characteristics and reservoir pressure to improve flow.

Thermal recovery: Involves injecting heat, such as steam, to lower the viscosity of heavy oil, making it thinner and easier to move.

Gas injection: Involves injecting gases like natural gas, nitrogen, or carbon dioxide (\(CO_{2}\)) into the reservoir. These gases can either expand to push oil towards the well or dissolve in the oil to lower its viscosity.

Chemical injection: Uses chemicals, such as polymers, to thicken the injected water and improve its sweep efficiency, preventing it from "fingering" through the reservoir and pushing more oil.

Benefits: EOR can significantly increase the total amount of oil recovered from a field and is particularly useful for reservoirs with heavy or viscous oil. Some EOR projects, like those using \(CO_{2}\), can also be used for carbon sequestration.

Oooooo. This will go tribe to tribe deals as it should be not Eby trying to hold Cariboo votes to look flashy.

Tribe to tribe trade unlocks FN commerce. Billions of dollar flint for pipestone deals.

Its a vote vampire for Eby and its going to snowball. The last two pipelines pumped a fuck tonne of money into FNs with construction and operation jobs. There is no shortage of FN operaters itching to get atop a hoe for $55hr plus sub.
