Did you forget about the genocide?
You would have to be way more specific. Did you forget that there’s claims of genocide on both sides of this goat rodeo?

Or is this something that only Jews Zionists Israelis are capable of again? Do you remember any mention of a war in about…oh…1948 or so? What happened there? I think there might’ve been a war shortly before that too…Uhm…the name of that one is escaping me though. Might have been some pograms there too, but maybe my memory isn’t what it used to be?

The Jewish exodus from the Muslim world occurred during the 20th century, when approximately 900,000 Jews migrated, fled, or were expelled from Muslim-majority countries throughout Africa and Asia, primarily as a consequence of the establishment of the State of Israel.
But maybe we both forgot about these (or they’re outside of the statute of limitations with its flexible boundaries for this topic?) or maybe this, as it’s a bit more recent?
1758512065235.jpeg
The 2017 Hamas charter presented the Palestinian state being based on the 1967 borders (Which is also the pony Obama latched onto but…). The text says "Hamas considers the establishment of a Palestinian state, sovereign and complete, on the basis of the June 4, 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital and the provision for all the refugees to return to their homeland." This is in contrast to Hamas' 1988 charter, which previously called for a Palestinian state on all of Mandatory Palestine. Nevertheless, even in the 2017 charter, Hamas did not recognize Israel.

That would make it very, very difficult to negotiate with each other, you’d think?
It has emerged in the aftermath of the October 7 attack, including from an all-party investigation under the auspices of the British House of Lords, that Hamas actually thought that it could send a flying column of only a few thousand heavily-armed terrorists unobstructed to the eight gates of Jerusalem and that the attack would trigger a general Arab uprising throughout Israel.
Huh…for what reason?
It confirms that the October 7 attack was intended to plunge the whole territory of the old Palestine Mandate into general conflict whose ultimate objective was to destroy the state of Israel and replace it with an Islamist Arab state which would either kill, subjugate, or expel the Jews, so no big surprise or new revelation there.
That sounds almost…the word is escaping me here…?
…genocide?
Right! Yeah, that’s the term. Genocidal. Anyway…
The long-established “land for peace” legal framework for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, established by UN Security Council Resolution 242 and the Oslo Accords, provides that Palestinian statehood can only come as part of a negotiated solution to the conflict, in which Israel receives peace in return.
How does this reconcile and who do you think this refers to with respect to a negotiated solution? Negotiated between whom?

(Here’s a clue. The UN would impose their idea of a solution as opposed to, well, a negotiated solution between the parties directly involved coming to an agreement)
(YouTube & Debunking the Palestine Lie. This video goes back to…2011 when the leader of the Palestinian Authority was only in his 6th or 7th year of his 4 year term, & Hamas hadn’t rewritten its charter)

I hope 2011 is still within the statute of limitations for reference to this current goat rodeo.

Two sides....one hasn't killed a civilian in 2 years the other hasn't stopped killing civilans in 2 years.
Interesting. Not a single Israeli or other national from another country abducted from Israel October 7th perished in Gaza in the last two years? Not a single rocket from Gaza hit anything but their own hospitals, etc…in the last two years & you can verify this statement how?

Are we staying with a two year statute of limitations here now, or just from this one statement from you now?
No goats were harmed in this statement.
Phew!
There’s (at least) two sides in this goat rodeo. I’m assuming you’re not talking about Hamas (& friends)?
So, in your statement, where do Iran and it’s other non-Hamas proxies fit into this?:
Two sides....one hasn't killed a civilian in 2 years the other hasn't stopped killing civilans in 2 years.
Or do they also not count until they do when convenient?
Two sides....one hasn't killed a civilian in 2 years the other hasn't stopped killing civilans in 2 years.
Then Hamas & Friends, they CLEARLY remain in uniform and do not hide in amongst (or under) the actual civilian population in Gaza, in an asymmetrical warfare urban combat situation, when you’re making your statement and assigning guilt, right? You do realize that October 7th 2023 is less than two years ago, right?

Post-October 7: ~10-20 additional civilian deaths from Hamas rocket fire or smaller attacks, though precise attribution is challenging due to overlapping actions by groups like Palestinian Islamic Jihad or Hezbollah

We're you hoping for more?

No, you? So your definition of within the last two years doesn’t include Oct 7 2023 that’s within the last two years then? Well, thankfully for the Israelis, their government allows their population into bomb shelters, & have been forced over the last 3/4 of a century to have things in place to protect their population.

Overview
As with the October 7 attack, Hamas's actions post-October 7 have primarily involved rocket barrages from Gaza, with rare ground infiltrations or shootings.

Israel's Iron Dome system has intercepted the vast majority of projectiles, resulting in minimal civilian casualties from rockets. Direct Hamas attacks (e.g., shootings) have been infrequent and mostly confined to isolated incidents, such as in East Jerusalem.

Reliable data from UNOCHA, Israeli authorities, and independent monitors indicate that Hamas-attributable civilian deaths in this period are extremely low—fewer than 10 confirmed cases.

Broader conflict deaths (e.g., from Hezbollah rockets or Iranian missiles) are excluded, as the query focuses on Hamas. West Bank attacks by Hamas-linked individuals are included only if explicitly tied to Hamas operations.

Key Figures
Rocket and Mortar Attacks: Over 10,600 projectiles fired by Hamas (and allies like Palestinian Islamic Jihad) from Gaza between October 2023 and January 2024, with sporadic barrages continuing into 2025. Approximately 10% fell short in Gaza, causing Palestinian casualties. In Israel, impacts caused ~0–5 civilian deaths total, with most incidents resulting in injuries or property damage only.

No major spikes reported in 2024–2025 due to degraded Hamas rocket capabilities from Israeli operations.

Direct Attacks/Shootings:

One confirmed Hamas-linked incident:
September 8, 2025: Two Hamas militants opened fire on a bus in East Jerusalem, killing 6 Israeli civilians (including women and children) and injuring 21.

Other Incidents: No large-scale ground incursions by Hamas post-October 7. West Bank violence has killed ~42 Israeli civilians since October 7, but these are primarily attributed to unaffiliated or other group actors (e.g., PIJ or lone wolves), not direct Hamas operations from Gaza. Hamas has claimed some, but verified ties are limited to ~2–3 deaths.

Total: 6–10 Israeli civilians killed by Hamas from October 8, 2023, to September 22, 2025. The low figure reflects effective defenses and Hamas's operational constraints.

Sources and Substantiation

Wikipedia (Gaza War, updated September 22, 2025): Details the September 8 bus attack as a Hamas operation killing 6 civilians; notes negligible rocket casualties post-October 7 (5 deaths on October 7 from initial barrage, none specified after).

Palestinian Rocket Attacks on Israel (Wikipedia, September 16, 2025): Confirms >10,600 projectiles post-October 7 with ~10% failure rate; historical data shows rare Israeli civilian deaths from such attacks (e.g., 0 in many barrages).

BESA Center (August 1, 2025): Reports 42 Israeli civilian deaths in West Bank/Judea-Samaria since October 7, but attributes most to non-Hamas actors; no Gaza-sourced Hamas ground attacks.

Statista/UNOCHA (August 6, 2025): Total Israeli deaths since October 7 ~1,200 (mostly October 7); no breakdown for post-October 7 Hamas-specific civilian toll, but implies minimal additions.

U.S. State Department (2023 Report, covering up to end-2023): 43 Israelis/foreigners killed in non-Gaza terror attacks in 2023 post-October 7, but not all Hamas-linked; rocket impacts caused few deaths.

These figures are based on verified reports and may be revised with ongoing investigations. For the latest, refer to Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs or UNOCHA dashboards, as the conflict evolves.

Anywho…to be recognized as a state is to join the international community of sovereign equals. That status comes with rights: recognition, diplomatic privileges and protection from foreign courts under the principle of sovereign immunity. But statehood also carries responsibilities.

Statehood is not a blank cheque. It is a status that carries duties alongside privileges. The most basic of these duties is to refrain from supporting terrorism.

References to calls for genocide/ethnic cleansing made by Israeli leadership.

Overview
Accusations of genocidal or ethnic cleansing rhetoric by Israeli leaders (e.g., the Prime Minister, ministers, and Knesset members) have been central to international legal cases, such as South Africa's ICJ complaint and a September 2025 UN Commission of Inquiry report. These claims focus on statements implying mass expulsion, destruction of Palestinian life in Gaza, or dehumanization that could meet the legal threshold for incitement under the Genocide Convention.

Databases from NGOs like Law for Palestine (500+ total instances as of February 2024, including ~100 from officials) and Al-Haq (over 1,000 as of April 2025) compile such rhetoric, with a subset attributed to leaders.

A precise count is challenging due to ongoing updates and interpretive debates, but verified statements from high-ranking officials number at least 50–100 since October 7, 2023, based on cross-referenced reports.

Many are from far-right ministers like Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben-Gvir, who advocate "voluntary migration" or resettlement, often criticized as euphemisms for ethnic cleansing.

Israeli officials and defenders reject these interpretations, arguing statements target Hamas militants, not civilians, and that accusations are biased or antisemitic. For instance, Israel called the UN report "fake" and biased, emphasizing the war's defensive nature against Hamas's October 7 attack.

The American Jewish Committee (AJC) outlines reasons why Gaza events do not constitute genocide, including lack of intent to destroy Palestinians as a group and Israel's efforts to minimize civilian harm.

Estimated Count and Key Examples
Based on NGO databases, UN findings, and media analyses, here are documented instances from Israeli leaders. The total for cabinet-level figures is approximately 60–80 distinct statements (e.g., Law for Palestine identifies ~50 from ministers/Knesset by early 2024, with more in 2025 updates).

Below are 12 prominent examples, grouped by theme:

Dehumanization and Calls for Destruction (Implying Genocide)

Benjamin Netanyahu (Prime Minister), November 2023: Compared Gaza operations to a "holy war of total annihilation" in a letter to soldiers, invoking biblical destruction of Amalek (seen as genocidal intent by UN). 0b8858

Yoav Gallant (Defense Minister), October 9, 2023: "We are fighting human animals and will act accordingly," announcing a total siege on Gaza (cut off food, fuel, water). 1ce2ea

Amichay Eliyahu (Heritage Minister), July 24, 2025: Stated Israel is "pushing to wipe out" Gaza and make it Jewish through settlements, denying starvation claims. 8d7527

Moshe Feiglin (Former Minister), October 17, 2023: "Gaza should be razed and Israel’s rule should be restored... This is our country." ad37fe

Calls for Mass Expulsion/Displacement (Ethnic Cleansing)

Bezalel Smotrich (Finance Minister), November 14, 2023: Called for "voluntary emigration" of Gazans as the "right humanitarian solution" (critics labeled it ethnic cleansing). a2283f

Itamar Ben-Gvir (National Security Minister), November 11, 2023: "We’re doing a Gazan Nakba 2023" (referencing the 1948 mass displacement of Palestinians). ba9ec6

Avi Dichter (Agriculture Minister), November 11, 2023: Described white-flag surrenders as "Gaza's Nakba 2023," implying permanent displacement. f8aa40

Gila Gamliel (Intelligence Minister), November 11, 2023: Advocated relocating all 2 million Gazans abroad, with international funding for "new lives in host countries." 8e735b

Ayelet Shaked (Former Interior Minister), November 22, 2023: "We need all 2 million to leave... That's the solution for Gaza" after "turning Khan Younis into a soccer field." fefc0a

Bezalel Smotrich (Finance Minister), January 26, 2024: Invited world leaders to "open doors and assist in reception and rehabilitation" of Gazans elsewhere. d2ee26

Advocacy for Resettlement/Occupation (Implying Expulsion)

Itamar Ben-Gvir (National Security Minister), February 25, 2025: Urged "encouraging voluntary immigration" and full Israeli rule in Gaza, including resuming Gush Katif settlements. 438e5a

Orit Strook (Settlements Minister), February 19, 2024: Denied Palestinian existence ("no such thing as a Palestinian people") and rejected any Palestinian state. d8dadf

Context and Counterarguments
These statements surged post-October 7, often at far-right conferences or in media, amid Israel's military campaign in Gaza (over 43,000 Palestinian deaths reported by Gaza Health Ministry as of September 2025).

Critics, including Human Rights Watch and B'Tselem, argue they demonstrate intent for crimes against humanity like forced displacement. However, Israeli spokespeople counter that rhetoric targets Hamas, not civilians, and point to aid facilitation and evacuation warnings as evidence against genocidal intent.

Netanyahu's office has dismissed ICJ/UN probes as "absurd," while allies like the U.S. have condemned specific calls (e.g., Smotrich/Ben-Gvir in January 2024) as "irresponsible" but rejected broader genocide labels. A May 2025 Haaretz report noted over 80 official statements reviewed by Israel, with no probes launched despite international pressure.

UN Commission of Inquiry Confirms Genocide in Gaza

On September 16, 2025, a United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry—established by the UN Human Rights Council in 2021 to investigate violations in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel—released a 72-page report concluding that Israel has committed genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

This marks the strongest and most authoritative UN finding to date on the matter, based on an analysis of events since the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, 2023, which killed about 1,200 people in Israel and led to the abduction of 251 hostages. The report does not represent the official position of the UN as a whole but reflects the independent assessment of the three-member panel, chaired by former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay, alongside experts Chris Sidoti and Miloon Kothari.

Key Findings from the Report
The commission applied the 1948 Genocide Convention, which defines genocide as acts committed "with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group." It found that Israel has perpetrated four out of five prohibited acts under the convention:

Killing members of the group: Over 64,000 Palestinians killed (per Gaza's Health Ministry as of September 2025), with 83% civilians, including systematic targeting of children and families.

Causing serious bodily or mental harm: Widespread use of heavy unguided munitions in densely populated areas, leading to mass injuries and trauma.

Deliberately inflicting conditions of life calculated to bring about physical destruction: Imposition of a total siege, blocking humanitarian aid, and using starvation as a weapon, resulting in famine in Gaza City (affecting nearly 1 million people) and the destruction of healthcare, education, and sanitation systems.

Imposing measures intended to prevent births: Systematic attacks on reproductive health infrastructure and sexual/gender-based violence.

The panel did not find evidence of the fifth act (forcibly transferring children), but emphasized that meeting even one criterion suffices for a genocide determination.

Crucially, the report infers genocidal intent from:
Patterns of conduct, including disregard for International Court of Justice (ICJ) provisional measures ordering Israel to prevent genocidal acts and ensure aid access.

Statements by senior Israeli officials (e.g., Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and others) inciting destruction, such as calls to "erase" Gaza or liken Palestinians to "Amalek" (a biblical reference to total annihilation).

The scale of destruction: Over 377,000 Palestinians "disappeared," environmental catastrophe from bombings, and erasure of cultural/religious sites.

The commission holds the Israeli state responsible, as these acts were carried out by its authorities and security forces. It urges the international community to "employ all means reasonably available" to prevent further genocide, including sanctions, arms embargoes, and accountability via the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Israel's Response
Israel's Ambassador to the UN in Geneva, Danny Meron, categorically rejected the report as "cherry-picked," "distorted," and a "libellous rant" promoting a "narrative serving Hamas." Israel maintains its operations are lawful self-defense against Hamas, which it accuses of using civilians as shields, and denies any genocidal intent. The government has not complied with ICJ orders and continues military actions, including a recent escalation in Gaza City.

Broader Context and Reactions
Related UN Developments: A separate UN Special Committee report (November 2024) described Israel's warfare as "consistent with genocide," highlighting starvation and mass casualties. The ICJ's ongoing case, brought by South Africa, has issued provisional measures but no final ruling yet (expected to take years).

International Echoes: The finding aligns with growing accusations from bodies like the International Association of Genocide Scholars and U.S. senators (e.g., Chris Van Hollen and Jeff Merkley), who called Israel's actions "ethnic cleansing." Amnesty International urged the UK to "prevent and punish" the genocide under the convention. On September 21, 2025, the UK, Canada, and Australia recognized Palestine as a state, joining ~150 countries, amid Netanyahu's dismissal of it as an "absurd reward for terror."

Public Discourse on X: Recent posts reflect outrage and calls for action, with users sharing the report and linking it to Israel's "pariah status" and development plans for Gaza seen as exploitative (e.g., Netanyahu's finance minister calling opportunities a "bonanza"). Examples include discussions of over 200,000 victims and 377,000 disappearances.

This report intensifies global pressure on Israel and its allies (e.g., the U.S., which withdrew from the Human Rights Council in 2018 and again in 2025 under the Trump administration). However, enforcement remains challenging due to geopolitical divisions. For the full report, see the OHCHR website.
