Be careful dude, supporting a genocide can come back to haunt you.
The fact that that holocaustages are holocaustages is what has cost them their lives. Who made them hostages? Wow…
Yes, what made them holocaustages? 58 years of Israeli occupation and terrorism against Palestinians did.

Did attcks on Palestinians triple in the lead up to Oct 7

Were they supposed to keep taking it up the ass?

What the fuck makes you think what is happening in West Bank is justified?

Holocaust?

Why did you skip the JKK blocking holocaustage release agreements?

Wow…anyway, the Greta flotilla is up to 44 boats now (5 stayed in Malta, two just missing or AWOL or whatever?) and they’re getting somewhere.
1758600393820.jpeg
Only about a 1000kms from International waters off a military blockade now, and Greta has been sent to the back of the bus or something along those lines. 23 days into their 8 day cruise or whatever.

It has the potential to be somewhat entertaining like a circus, or water on the floor in a supermarket, and if something happens, then I guess she shouldn’t have been there repeatedly, right? Maybe there’s more going one here than meets the eye?

Why do you think she was shuffled off the “Family” boat to to “Alma” boat? ‘Cuz they got tired of her company or they can’t trust her to be aligned with what they’re planning? Oh, and all the boats have changed their names since I don’t know, yesterday or something…and all have Arabic place names.

Youre unhinged. Greta is just a passenger not the key feature. Entertaining? Egyptian and Turkish warships and fighter jets engaged with Israeli warships and fighter jets, and sanctions/embargo on Israel will be entertaining? For you or?

Your unhinged.
Been so for years, but we both probably have different definitions of what that means.
Greta is just a passenger not the key feature.
No…she was there for PR and propaganda, so like the sideshows from the circus in days gone by. Willingly or not, knowingly or not, she’s played her role and it’s over. Now she’s cargo.
Entertaining?
Somewhat. Not, “Hey Babe, let’s take the kids to the show!” sort’a entertaining, but like an accident about to happen.

Have they? Or you’re hoping they will? It is curious timing & part of the show. The exercises — dubbed Friendship Sea — will take place in the eastern Mediterranean between Sept. 22-26.

The flotilla is roughly a week from arriving wherever they’re going to arrive, & today is the 23rd…so…will this window overlap?

(Relations between Egypt and Turkey — a longtime backer of the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood group — soured a decade ago following Egypt’s 2023 military coup that ousted President Mohammed Morsi, who hailed from the Brotherhood, during mass protests against his divisive rule. Egypt also outlawed the group as a terrorist organization)

In 2023, the two countries began repairing links and reappointed ambassadors. This was followed by state visits in 2024 by the two countries’ presidents.

The navy drills are taking place during heightened military tensions in the Middle East. Both countries have condemned the Israeli airstrikes on the Qatari capital this month and are firm in their support for Palestinian statehood, opposing Israel’s military actions in Gaza. I wonder how the Gerald R Ford flotilla fits into this?

Its not 1987 any longer and it ain't coming back.

Read the Likud Manifesto sometime. Its 50 years older.

Anywho....

Key Incidents and Descriptions

Boat Tours Along Gaza's Coast: Multiple viral videos from September 2024 onward show families on recreational boats off Ashkelon or Ashdod, cheering or filming as bombs light up Gaza's skyline at night. A widely shared clip from September 21, 2024, depicts parents with toddlers on deck, pointing at flashes over the horizon while music plays. One mother is heard saying, "Look, fireworks for you!" to her child. Journalist Assaf ( @_Assaf_MD ) captured footage of a group tour where guides narrated strikes as "precision operations," with children waving Israeli flags. Similar outings have been advertised on platforms like TripAdvisor as "Gaza Observation Cruises," though listings were removed after backlash in early 2025.7fbd598e2d2d

Bus Trips to Border Viewpoints: Less common but reported are bus excursions to elevated spots near Sderot or the Netiv HaAsara kibbutz, where groups (sometimes including school field trips) gather to watch from afar. A June 2025 X post described college students on a "birthright" tour being bused to a Gaza overlook, where they witnessed tank fire and drones; one participant called home "crying" afterward, overwhelmed by the "raw destruction."866a47

Earlier, in May 2024, teens from a religious youth group blocked aid trucks at the Nitzana crossing with Egypt while on a "solidarity trip," chanting slogans as explosions echoed from Gaza.db3a76

These aren't isolated; a 2024 Haaretz investigation found at least a dozen private operators offering such "experiences" post-October 7, 2023, capitalizing on the war's visibility. By mid-2025, amid renewed offensives in Gaza City, outings spiked, with some families posting selfies captioned "Evening show from the front lines."

That's fucked!

Why does Hamas Exist?

Hamas, formally known as Harakat al-Muqawama al-Islamiyya (Islamic Resistance Movement), exists primarily as a Palestinian Islamist organization founded to resist Israeli occupation through armed struggle, political activism, and social welfare programs, with the ultimate goal of establishing an Islamic state in historic Palestine. It emerged in the context of longstanding Palestinian grievances over displacement, occupation, and failed peace efforts, drawing on religious ideology to mobilize support.

Historical Context and Origins
Hamas traces its roots to the Muslim Brotherhood, an Egyptian Islamist movement that had established a presence in Gaza since the 1950s through mosques, schools, and charitable organizations. By the 1980s, figures like Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, a Palestinian cleric paralyzed from a childhood accident, led efforts to build social infrastructure under the Mujama al-Islamiya banner, which Israel initially tolerated or even indirectly supported as a counterweight to the secular Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Fatah.03b84e This changed amid rising tensions, including Yassin's brief imprisonment in 1984 after arms were discovered in a mosque.

The group formally founded in December 1987 during the First Intifada—a widespread Palestinian uprising against Israeli rule in the occupied West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem, sparked by events like a fatal truck collision in Gaza that many saw as deliberate.b99d72 The Intifada arose from decades of occupation following the 1967 Six-Day War, compounded by economic hardship, settlement expansion, and perceived PLO ineffectiveness. Hamas positioned itself as a more religiously driven alternative to secular nationalists, aiming to restore support for the Muslim Brotherhood, which was losing ground to groups like Palestinian Islamic Jihad.3cf42f

Founding Reasons and Goals

Hamas was created to pursue "armed resistance" against Israeli occupation, viewing it as a religious duty to liberate Palestine and establish an Islamic society.19cdd6

Its 1988 charter explicitly called for the destruction of Israel, the killing of Jews (framed in antisemitic terms), and the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state encompassing all of historic Palestine.e7248d

This ideology blended nationalism with fundamentalist Islam, appealing to Palestinians frustrated by corruption in Fatah and the failures of diplomacy.

Over time, Hamas has emphasized social services—running hospitals, schools, and aid programs—to build grassroots support, filling gaps left by the Palestinian Authority and international aid restrictions.104e78

Politically, it seeks Palestinian self-determination, often proposing long-term truces (hudna) if Israel withdraws to pre-1967 borders, though it has historically rejected recognizing Israel outright.566c04

A 2017 revised document moderated some language, removing explicit calls for killing Jews and hinting at acceptance of a state along 1967 lines as a "national consensus" formula, but it maintained refusal to recognize Israel.d4c235

Critics, including the U.S., EU, and Israel, designate Hamas as a terrorist organization due to its use of suicide bombings, rocket attacks, and civilian targeting, seeing its existence as perpetuating violence rather than genuine resistance.a94cda

Supporters argue it fills a vacuum in Palestinian leadership, providing resistance where others have compromised.

Evolution and Key Events

Hamas has evolved from a militant offshoot to a governing entity, particularly after winning the 2006 Palestinian legislative elections, which led to international sanctions and a violent split with Fatah, culminating in Hamas's 2007 takeover of Gaza.5c97b8

It has since ruled Gaza authoritarian-style, enforcing Islamic norms while facing blockades from Israel and Egypt.

Major escalations include:

1990s suicide bombings opposing the Oslo Accords, which Hamas saw as a sellout.505561

The Second Intifada (2000–2005), where it conducted attacks amid broader unrest.

Wars with Israel in 2008–09, 2014, and 2021, involving rocket fire and tunnel warfare.

The October 7, 2023, attack ("Operation al-Aqsa Storm"), killing about 1,200 Israelis and taking hostages, prompting Israel's ongoing war aiming to dismantle Hamas.5f5e8f

Recent leadership losses, including Yahya Sinwar (killed 2024) and others, amid the conflict.dd61ae

Hamas persists due to ongoing occupation, Palestinian disunity, regional backing from Iran and Qatar, and its ability to frame itself as a defender of Palestinian rights, despite internal criticisms of governance failures like corruption and repression. Its existence reflects deeper unresolved issues in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, where diplomacy has repeatedly stalled.

Likud's Mandate and the Ideology of Greater Israel

The query appears to inquire about the Likud party's political mandate (i.e., its electoral authority and platform) in relation to "Greater Israel"—a Zionist concept envisioning Israeli sovereignty over the entire historic Land of Israel, including the West Bank (biblical Judea and Samaria), Gaza Strip, and sometimes beyond (e.g., parts of Jordan or the Golan Heights).

This ideology is central to Likud's founding principles and has shaped its policies, though it has evolved pragmatically over time. Below, I'll outline the historical roots, platform commitments, and current status as of September 2025.

Historical Roots and Formation

Likud (Hebrew for "The Consolidation") was established on September 13, 1973, as a right-wing alliance uniting several parties, including:

Herut (led by Menachem Begin, rooted in Revisionist Zionism, which emphasized maximalist territorial claims).
Liberal Party.
Free Centre.
National List.
Movement for Greater Israel (explicitly advocating expansion into occupied territories post-1967 Six-Day War).

This coalition formed to challenge the dominant left-wing Labor Party, which had governed Israel since 1948 and favored partition compromises. Revisionist Zionism, inspired by Ze'ev Jabotinsky, rejected the 1947 UN Partition Plan and sought "Eretz Yisrael Ha-Shlema" (the Whole Land of Israel) from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River.

Likud's 1977 landslide victory—securing 43 Knesset seats—marked the first right-wing government, ushering in an era where Greater Israel became a governing ideology. Begin's administration promoted settlements in the West Bank and Gaza as "national importance" for security and Zionist redemption, while signing the 1979 Camp David Accords (returning Sinai to Egypt but retaining other territories).

Platform and Mandate on Greater Israel
Likud's original platform explicitly mandates Greater Israel as a core tenet:

1977 Platform Excerpt: "The right of the Jewish people to the land of Israel is eternal and indisputable... Therefore, Judea and Samaria will not be handed to any foreign administration; between the Sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty."6b7ef890fc1a

Settlement in "all parts of the Land of Israel" is framed as a "focal point of the Zionist effort," essential for security, immigration absorption, and pioneering spirit.2579dcc3c281
educ.jmu.edu

This rejects Palestinian statehood plans that "relinquish parts of western Eretz Israel," viewing them as threats to Jewish security and existence.8f2b92

The platform prioritizes peace through strength, direct negotiations without preconditions, and eliminating threats like the PLO (seen as aiming to "liquidate the State of Israel"). Economically, it supports free markets and Jewish immigration to bolster settlement efforts.

While Likud has pragmatically engaged in diplomacy (e.g., Madrid Conference 1991, Oslo Accords implementation under Netanyahu in the 1990s, 2005 Gaza disengagement under Ariel Sharon), it has never formally repudiated Greater Israel.

Critics argue these were tactical concessions, not ideological shifts, with settlement expansion continuing unabated (over 700,000 settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem by 2025).

In 2018, Likud influenced Israel's "Nation-State Law," enshrining Jewish self-determination and settlement as a national value in Basic Laws, effectively constitutionalizing aspects of Greater Israel.f1a98e

A 2017 Likud Central Committee resolution called for extending sovereignty to all West Bank settlements, signaling "creeping annexation."2ed868

Current Mandate (as of September 2025)
Under Benjamin Netanyahu's leadership since 2005 (with prior terms 1996–1999), Likud holds 32 seats in the 120-seat Knesset from the November 2022 elections, leading a coalition with 64 mandates total (including far-right allies like Religious Zionism and Otzma Yehudit).2f5b9d673e8e

This government, formed December 29, 2022, explicitly advances Greater Israel:

Annexation Push:

In 2020, Netanyahu planned West Bank annexation (up to 30% of territory), delayed by U.S. mediation but revived in coalition talks.

By 2025, settlement approvals have surged post-October 7, 2023, Hamas attack, with over 12,000 new housing units approved in 2024 alone.

Far-Right Influence:

Allies like Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich (Religious Zionism) advocate full West Bank sovereignty and have used maps depicting Greater Israel (including Jordan) at official events, drawing international condemnation.c6a73b

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir (Otzma Yehudit) pushes for Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount and Gaza reoccupation.

Electoral Mandate: Recent polls (e.g., August 2024 Maariv survey) project Likud at 22–25 seats if elections were held, bolstered by security fears, but the coalition risks losing majority (projected 53 seats).e9303c

Netanyahu's mandate emphasizes "enduring security" over two-state solutions, rejecting Palestinian statehood amid the Gaza war.8ea0d9

Criticisms and Implications

Supporters view Greater Israel as fulfilling biblical and historical rights, enhancing security against threats like Hamas.8710ad Detractors, including Palestinian groups, left-wing Israelis, and international bodies (e.g., UN, EU), label it expansionist and apartheid-like, entrenching occupation without equal rights for Palestinians.1e936db83376

The ideology has stalled peace processes, contributing to cycles of violence, as seen in the ongoing Gaza conflict (over 40,000 Palestinian deaths reported by mid-2025).
In summary, Likud's mandate robustly supports Greater Israel through settlement policy and sovereignty claims, rooted in its 1973 founding and 1977 platform.

While pragmatic adjustments occur, the core commitment persists, defining Netanyahu's coalitions and Israel's territorial stance. For primary documents, see Likud's historical platforms.
