There are only two genders. Trans isn't one of them.

Well thank you for showing you're clueless to what trans is.

Now go get an education

I think the one needing education here is you, Tax.

so you can comprehend what people write, instead of what you would like to think they write.

You said "I also have a problem with treating what is a mental or psychological or whatever you want to call it trait?"

Being trans is not a 'trait', unless you are going to claim gender overall is a trait?

Your problem, as you claim, is that people are treating what you believe is a mental/psychological "or whatever you want to call it" trait. But since gender is not a trait, that is not what is being done.

Here's some education for you that you don't need to look for.

trans-3

  1. a prefix occurring in loanwords from Latin ( transcend; transfix ); on this model, used with the meanings “across,” “beyond,” “through,” “changing thoroughly,” “transverse,” in combination with elements of any origin: transisthmian; trans-Siberian; transempirical; transvalue.
  2. Chemistry. a prefix denoting a geometric isomer having a pair of identical atoms or groups on the opposite sides of two atoms linked by a double bond. Compare cis- ( def 2 ).
  3. Astronomy. a prefix denoting something farther from the sun (than a given planet): trans-Martian; trans-Neptunian.
  4. a prefix meaning “on the other side of,” referring to the misalignment of one’s gender identity with one's sex assigned at birth: transgender.

In the instance of Trans people, it simply means the opposite gender of the one assigned at birth. It's still a gender, just opposite of what the person was given. Hence why it's called TransGENDER; opposite/on the other side of GENDER.

Trans requires "belief"....

What excuse?

The excuse that it keeps being implied all trans people are groomers.

I never said they always were.

But I've yet to see you never exclude them out, either. It's always "Trans people are groomers", never just certain disgusting adults.

You and Tax and others do that a lot.

You jumped instantly on the fact I said that groomers are "always" White Christian yada yada, and posted it with a link to women groomers.

But anyone suggests that trans or trans allies are groomers, there's crickets.

Methinks you're making up arguments in your head just for the sake of arguing.

Pretty sure that's a you thing.

As I stated. A mental condition. Foolishly being treated as a physical condition because we have made better advances in physical medicine than we have in psychological medicine.

As you continue to show, you're an idiot on facts of what being trans is.

Depending on the level of dysphoria, yes, it IS a physical condition.

Depending on the pressures that are put on a trans person, yes, there are associated mental conditions that can happen (usually resulting from PTSD) and are also treated.

Gender itself CANNOT be forced, ergo, not a "mental condition" as you are labelling it.

Or are you, as usual, insinuating you were forced to be the gender you are? You were... groomed... to be the gender you are, based on the opinion of parents and society around you? Are you saying you don't and never knew what gender you were, but you accepted what you were told?

("No" as the answer in 3, 2, 1....)

...and there is an industry hell bent on making it seem normal when it's not because it suits their agenda for political, social and financial control.

Wow, are YOU ever deep into the conspiracy theories of the TERF and anti-trans crowd.

I'll ask you the same thing I asked Tax: are you insinuating you were forced to be the gender you are? You were... groomed... to be the gender you are, based on the opinion of parents and society around you? Are you saying you don't and never knew what gender you were, but you accepted what you were told?

For someone that claims to work in a hospital, you sure don't know much about biology.
Here is the really simple version for you. If you have a hangy down thing between your legs, you are male. If you have a hole between your legs, you are female. That is it. Not really all that complicated.

For someone that claims to work in a hospital,

Not a claim, I do. But go on...

you sure don't know much about biology.

Oh, do educate me then.

Here is the really simple version for you. If you have a hangy down thing between your legs, you are male.

And already you are wrong.

You'd think if you're going to claim to know biology more than someone else, you should, you know, know biology more than that person?

If you have a hole between your legs, you are female. That is it. Not really all that complicated.

And yet, it's not biology that states gender at all. What you are describing here are sexual characteristics, which yes, are biological (you know, biological sex) but do not have anything to do with gender.

Of course even if I provided you the proof, you'd deny it so I won't bother to waste the time to copy-past links.

Guess you don't know biology after all.

Perhaps look beyond the base biology knowledge you have and educate yourself, yes?

Sex and Gender are the same thing. Except in the minds of a few with mental problems.

Well unless you've suddenly become someone who actually studies both sex and gender, I'll take the word of the professionals who spent years to get their PhD's on the subjects over some Joe Asshole who feels everything he learned in high school biology is the be all and end all of biological science (nevermind sociological studies, of which gender is a part of).

And sex and gender have been separate subjects for 70 years or so... you really, really are late to this party.
