Greenland is ‘necessary’ for international security: Donald Trump

Now, I can't stand SkyNews here in Australia as they're as biased as one can get & suck on Trump's arse any chance they get, but this came through my feed and reading this got me thinking about his bluster about Annexing Canada, whichever way he "thinks" he could do that.

Besides possible resources he could steal from Greenland for selfish US greed, from a militarily strategic standpoint, it sounds like Greenland is "crucial" for Trump to try his ludicrous idea of taking over Canada. It's a big country after all. They got the southern border covered, Alaska to the West, and Greenland would cover the East while making it difficult for Commonwealth nations to aid Canada through the Atlantic, while he'd have his buddy Putin cover the North.

As unlikely as it might be, this is all a threat that the Canadian Government needs to take seriously and have contingency plans in place. Canada should be in deep talks with allies to not just protect Greenland but Canadian interest as well. Maybe military force wouldn't happen, but if the US did get a hold of Greenland, they could cut off and squeeze the literal shit out of Canada to force Canada to do their bidding in the long term.

Time for Canada to gear up and cut off their resources now to weaken their military machine before he can get any further, and I would say Canadian allies should do the same. All that military needs a lot of oil after all & they're heavily dependent on imports from allies. The US needs to be choked off and made aware this isn't going to happen.... Now, rather than later when it's too late and in motion.

Again, Trump is usually spitting hot shit from his mouth and maybe nothing will ever happen, but one does not throw this crap out there and threaten one's allies like this and expect no consequence. This talk needs to be taken seriously. Not with more talk but by action.

Greenland is not crucial for international security. It's crucial for US security in gaining the resources they want/need that's right next door.

All he did was throw shit at the wall. It stuck to media who ran with it.
Quite true. Unfortunately, once he sees something stick, he also decides to run with it as if it's a good idea and doesn't think of consequences. He thinks he can actually make it happen. Apparently, he truly believed, and still does, that the last election was stolen, despite every court and everything based in reality proved it didn't happen. He's still going with it.

I doubt this idea will go away any time soon either, so one has to treat this like the Bleach & COVID and shut that crap down from the start.

That time when Trump thought drinking/injecting bleach could cure COVID?
Here is what said

"A question that probably some of you are thinking of if you’re totally into that world, which I find to be very interesting. So, supposedly we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light, and I think you said that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it. And then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. (To Bryan) And I think you said you’re going to test that, too. Sounds interesting, right?"

He continued.

"And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful."

Later, Trump clarified his comments after a reporter asked Bryan whether disinfectants could actually be injected into COVID-19 patients.

"It wouldn’t be through injections, almost a cleaning and sterilization of an area. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn’t work, but it certainly has a big effect if it’s on a stationary object."

It was Biden who mentioned bleach.

"And when it comes to COVID-19, after months of doing nothing, other than predicting the virus would disappear, or maybe if you drank bleach you may be okay, Trump has simply given up," said Biden, who delivered his remarks at a metalworks factory near his hometown of Scranton on Thursday.

Why wouldn't Trump accept Greenland as a territory if Denmark and Greenland agree, We were stupid not to accept Iceland when they reached out to join us
Greenland would rather be tied to Canada and the rest of the Inuit is what Greenland leadership stated. Tied to but not part of and they wouldnt refuse US military and economic investment.

I read & watched the whole thing back then and refreshed myself last night and nothing has changed.

The fundamental issue here is yeah, UV light and various disinfectants/cleaning chemicals were shown to have a strong effect on the virus. What Trump didn't understand was that these were isolated tests on the virus and those same processes would certainly have the same effect on living tissue, ie: our bodies. There is zero chance to make any of these disinfectants and chemicals work in such a way that it would only work on the virus and not dissolve your internals in the process, thereby killing the virus AND yourself in the process.

As for UV light inside our bodies, why do we have several layers of skin on our bodies?

I'm not a doctor, nor a chemist, nor am I the leader of a country, but even I knew this, as do most average people. The fact that Trump even asked the questions as he did showed he didn't. And he was running the country at the time. His followers aren't the brightest UV bulbs in the bunch but many knew exactly how this would get interpreted.

If people were running around eating Tie Pods for a dare not long before, many would probably start doing the above stupid things the moment they got a sniffle.

Injecting disinfectant or drinking bleech has the same end result. Rewording or arguing over what he exactly said is irrelevant. None of these tests can be done or reworked in a way to kill a virus without also either killing the host, or causing serious long term health problems.

It was a stupid suggestion no matter how one tries to spin it.

And while I am not a chemist, I do work in a division of a chemical manufacturing company and I work on the SDS's and labelling of chemicals. I see all the safety precautions, handling, and detailed health warnings that come with these chemicals multiple times a day. None of this stuff is anything you want on you, let alone inside you.

Obviously he's somebody that never took biology.

I do know UV and ozone worked in the external environment. Ozone can be inhaled but is effective? I don't know. Do you? It does sterilize air. Hippie types like using it. So who knows.

Ozone in small quantities. It has the disadvantage of displacing oxygen in large quantities so if you don’t suffocate, as the ozone breaks down in your lungs, releasing that third oxygen molecule which becomes a free radical, which wants to adhere to something…. It becomes a significant carcinogen.

Don’t get me wrong. Ozone is very cool. It is used (not as a Walmart hepafilter, but as a shocker) as a disinfectant, from eliminating stank to on an industrial scale in water treatment plants.

I own an ozone shocker, & It’s not a toy. This is the one we own, and if you’re terminally stupid or just not careful, it can kill you…in your sleep…& you just don’t wake up.

Point is, Trump likes to cling onto really dumb ideas despite what the rest of the planet knows and tells him, therefore this whole Greenland and Canada take over crap should be treated like a toddler running around with a loaded gun with the safety off..... Seriously.

So Trump gets briefed by the medical and research professionals as to what they are testing and the preliminaret results and you expect he should have all the answers .
