Follow the meridians. Everything from the Easternmost tip of Labrador to the Yukon, Alaska border to the North Pole is undeniably Canada. Some that is outside that is ours too.

Interesting 65% of Greenlanders are open to joining the USA in the survey that I read

Yes, because Patriot Polling is SO unbiased...

You can look it up to see just how 'reliable' it is.

He looks up only what Trump tells him to think.

From el WaPo

As Trump turned his gaze toward the north, Greenland’s prime minister, Múte Egede, said last week, “It is now time to take the next step for our country … to remove the obstacles to cooperation — which we can describe as the shackles of the colonial era — and move on,” suggesting he might push for an independence referendum in an upcoming parliamentary election.

The prime minister added in a news conference in Copenhagen on Monday that he wanted to work more closely with the United States on defense and mining exploration and was open to conversations with the Trump administration. He emphasized that “it is … Greenland that will decide what agreement we should come to.”

“But close partners? Maybe,” he said.

Donald Trump’s imperialistic aim has Canada directly in his crosshairs

Well this article is getting close to what I've said. They just haven't connected the dots. Squeezing Canada economically first while his focus is on Greenland and getting the US government to greenlight "negotiations" to acquire Greenland. Then it'll swing to full focus towards Canada once surrounded.

He thinks both are soft targets but Greenland is the softer target to focus on first, then make Canada weaker & easier to take 2nd.

Better find some money in the couch cushions to get the CF up to speed. You've been warned.

You'll know I'll be back in here later saying "I fk'n Todaso!"

Added: That 1 billion the Gov plans to use on the Border should be going to adding troops along the border. Yes, bolster border security, but by ensuring you keep those fk'n rednecks on their side. Get those refineries built in Canada fast and get the people familiar with guerrilla warfare again.

He told you what he was going to do. . .

"The United States will once again consider itself a growing nation, one that increases our wealth, expands our territory, builds our cities, raises our expectations, and carries our flag into new and beautiful horizons,"
--Donald Trump, Inaugural Address, 20 Jan 2025

Where exactly do you think he means to "expand[] our territory" to?

Oh indeed. It's all laid out. I'm just hoping the Can Gov is holding their cards to their chest and all the talk to the media isn't all they have planned. It's not enough and a bit short sighted. Equal tariffs isn't enough. That magical Tap Trump talks about should be turned off sooner rather than later.

Another article on CTV pointed out how Trump claims the US doesn't need anything from Canada, oil, power, lumber, all of it. That's either a distracting lie, or his really that ignorant (doubt that). But why else would he want Canada other than for what the US needs. But call his bluff. If they don't need anything, then stop it all and see what happens.

Obviously if that was done, he'd then use that as justification to escalate the situation and push to take what he needs by force.

No matter what decision the Government takes, the end results are the same, so prepare for the worst now rather than later.

First, Trump is full of shit. Big talk, no follow-up.

That said, you've been directly threatened by the head of state of a foreign country. Time to strap up.

Yup. Bullshit talk from him or not, he also has more power than he had in the past and emboldened into thinking he can now do whatever he wants. Regardless, this isn't the talk any leader of a nation should be tossing out there, especially towards one's allies. This must be taken more seriously than just a trade war because it's not going to stop there. He has few guardrails this time around, he's old, senile, and surrounded by Yes men & billionaires out for their own greed.

Throw the gloves down and get those Fists up.

Strutting and puffing up is all an intimidation show. If serious a true fighter comes out swinging.

He's also wanting to push for NATO to spend up to 5% for defense.

Even the US doesn't spend that much.

So, he either is going to use it as an excuse to leave NATO (likely) or he's doing it as a warning of future conflicts (also maybe?)
