Weird mental distinction, and as a lawyer, Tec can dissect my mental definitions (I could be wrong here), but generally most criminals in prisons are people that “chose” to do something to put them there…regarding the thousand-ish or so Hamas/Palestinians that will be released in the next six weeks….in exchange for people that, through their actions, didn’t “chose” to be hostages, or holocaustages, depending on who you talk to. Is this mental distinction above incorrect???
Nope, spot on. And recognized in the law. One has to have "scienter" to commit a criminal act, that is, knowing it's illegal (or "wrong," if you choose) and doing it anyway. If Town A were to pass a local ordinance that you couldn't wear orange on Thursday, and you, a passer-through, happened to be wearing an orange T-shirt that day, you'd lack the "scienter" for it to be a crime.

The old saying is "ignorance of the law is no excuse," but that's incorrect. In many circumstances, ignorance of the law is indeed an excuse.

Nice to see you took the time to learn about intent.

Israeli prison service aiming to halt 'displays of joy' from released prisoners

A statement by the prison service says this is to “limit shows of joy” among Palestinians as they don’t want people celebrating in the occupied West Bank or occupied East Jerusalem.

It was announced on Saturday morning that the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is expected to begin at 8.30am local time on Sunday (6.30am GMT).

The statement from the prison service said: “The commissioner of the Israel Prison Service, Kobi Yakobi, instructed that… to prevent public displays of joy in Ashkelon and other areas of Israel, the escort from ‘Shikma’ Prison will not be handled by civilian buses of the Red Cross.”

Yakobi told any prisoners earmarked for release to “refrain from expression of joy within Israel”.

More about the cease-fire in order to get back Israeli hostages (& corpses) from Hamas/Palestinians.

So this agreement is either super lopsided, or a “Palestinian” is worth equivalent of 1/30th of an Israeli civilian, or 1/50th of an Israeli female soldier, or am I reading the above incorrectly?
How many “Palestinians” is an Israeli corpse worth? Five Palestinians? Ten? Twenty? Is there a discount if it’s only a portion of an “unalived holocaustage”? A leg from an Israeli is worth how many “Palestinians,” ? Etc…
So, after Israel gets back its surviving hostages, and the bodies of its dead or portions there of, what will happen with Hamas? Is that when the gloves come off?

This Gazan doesn’t look like he’s missed too many meals in the last year and 3 months. Damn Israelis withholding aid from him….this poor guy looks like he just made it out of Auschwitz.

Actually, looking at this last video… everybody’s in clean clothes, and all the buildings are intact, and they all have windows in them, and electricity, and all the cell phones in the crowd are charged up with power to spare, so that they’re using them as lighters at a concert from days gone by…but the modern version using the flashlight feature on each cell phone. That’s usually not what we see for images out of Gaza. Weird…460-whatever days into this goat-rodeo.

I look worse than these people after a three day camping trip. Really weird…

Bibi had 470 days.

Israel didnt win and Hamas didnt lose.
Not until it’s over anyway. Palestinians poured into the streets to celebrate and return to the rubble of their bombed-out homes on Sunday, and Hamas handed over the first three hostages to the Red Cross under a ceasefire deal that halted fighting in Gaza after a delayed start.

Live television pictures showed three female hostages exiting a vehicle surrounded by armed Hamas men. The hostages got into vehicles of the International Committee of the Red Cross as the crowd of fighters chanted the name of the armed wing of Hamas.

An Israeli official told Reuters the Red Cross said the women were in good health. Earlier, Hamas had identified the first three Israeli hostages who would go free as Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbrecher and Emily Damari.

In the Israeli occupied West Bank, buses were awaiting the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli detention. Hamas said the first group to be freed in exchange for the hostages includes 69 women and 21 teenage boys.

Three of them anyway. Did Hamas just release 10% of the remaining surviving holocaustages? Does Israel check them off the non-list that Hamas still hasn’t provided of names of the survivors vs non-alived hostages still in Gaza?

Egypt and Qatar had the list a month ago. As intermediaries Im sure Israel got it and how many were killed by the IDF bombardement.

Israel didnt know? No wonder they didnt win.
Nice try. That’s a list of names of the hostages (dead & alive), & not the list of who is live and who is not that Israel has been requesting for pretty much since the beginning…

Of those 98 (now 95) remaining hostages, who is alive and who isn’t? That’s the list that Israel has been requesting. That’s the list that Hamas has not been providing. That’s the non-list we are discussing.

They’ll find out, for the next week for 4 more, & the next week for 3 more, & the next week for 3 more, etc…psychological warfare on the holocaustages families & Israeli society as a whole.

(Hamas found their uniforms again, huh..)

The Palestinian group Hamas announced on Saturday that Israel has failed to achieve its objectives in its “genocidal” war on the Gaza Strip.

In a statement following the Israeli government's approval of the Gaza ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement, Hamas said: "The occupation failed to achieve its aggressive goals and succeeded only in committing war crimes that shame humanity”…& this…richly, is coming from Hamas???

The group emphasized that “the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation (by Palestinian factions on Oct. 7, 2023) demonstrated the unity between Palestinians and their resistance and broke the arrogance of the enemy.”

"We forced the occupation to stop its aggression against our people and withdraw despite Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s attempts to prolong the war and commit further massacres," it added.

"The crimes committed by enemy leaders and soldiers will be prosecuted, no matter how long it takes,” vowed Hamas? Hamas is now an arm of enforcement for the International Criminal Court? Interesting.

The group also highlighted that its “duty now is to immediately begin providing relief, sheltering our people, healing their wounds, bringing back displaced families, and rebuilding.” Etc…& the rebuilding of what? What’s priority for Hamas through UNRWA? Tunnels? Hospitals & schools with tunnels connected to them? Interesting.
For those that have been complaining about proportionality during this goat rodeo as Israel fought back against Hamas due to 10.07.2023….is proportionality still an issue when it comes to the prisoner exchange for hostages…or is that…something that doesn’t count?
