Idle chatter imo. One reason they won't disband Canada is because the financial system is so easily manipulated and already controlled by U.S. controlled companies. It would cost them billions not to be able to use naked shorting techniques to manufacture money. They like it the way it is.

Sounds like next week all of the provincial premieres are meeting with Trudeau (?) to discuss this…& then all will travel to the US to meet with Donald Trump. I hope like Hell they leave Trudeau at home in Canada, tied up and stuffed back in the closet with one of those S&M ball gags.

Every single time Justin Trudeau opens his mouth, he seems to do more damage. He’s got at least another eight weeks or so to shoot his mouth off with no personal consequences for himself, and huge consequences for Canada. If the adults are going to Washington to deal with this, please leave Trudeau at home.
Then this ditzy Hamas sympathizer Joly, just stuff her in the same closet as Trudeau, with her own ball gag, ‘cuz she’s not gonna help anything either, & chances are she’s not even gonna win her own riding in the next election.
1736726612080.jpeg
Anyway, back to Trump’s claim of subsidizing Canada to the tune of $100 billion dollars…I’m assuming he’s talking about a trade deficit, & not a subsidy?
1736728824688.jpegIf that’s the case, it’s actually a deficit of $40 billion, not $100 billion, & American has 10 or 11 times the population of Canada and is in general wealthier than we are and they buy more stuff. About 25% of everything that America buys from Canada is discounted crude oil, & heavy Canadian crude oil at that, that their own refineries are set up for refining…& though America is one of the largest producers in the world, it doesn’t make enough for its own consumption (petroleum products I mean).
1736729152113.jpeg
So here’s where it gets the difference, & keep in mind The crude oil for Canada is sold to America at a discount below the world price…
1736729198048.jpeg
…& that’s why, as Ottawa is posturing and fumbling and stumbling, Danielle Smith is coming across as more and more coherent and mature as the largest oil producing province in Canada (with Saskatchewan being the next largest, though only a fraction of Alberta’s production).

{Justin & Jagmeet, they just need to shut the hell up because they’re done like dinner (!!) and they are not helping whatsoever}

Now here’s a quick snapshot of other countries that America trades with, and America’s trade deficits with them, & Canada isn’t even in the top five…

Just offering perspective.

Something to ponder.

In Dallas TX its $2.70 for a gallon of gas. That's 99 cents a L in CAD.

Taxes on a gallon:

The tax on a gallon of gas in Texas is 20 cents, which has been the rate since 1991. The federal government also collects an additional 18.4 cents per gallon.

A litre in Regina is $1.46CAD $5.68 a US gallon.

In Saskatchewan, the tax on gasoline is 15 cents per liter, in addition to federal taxes:

  • Federal taxes
The federal government collects $0.17 per liter for the carbon tax, $0.10 per liter for the excise tax, and $0.08 per liter for the Goods and Service Tax.
  • Provincial taxes
The Saskatchewan government collects $0.15 per liter through its provincial gas tax.
Together, these taxes make up about 32% of the price of gasoline at the pump in Saskatchewan.

Total Canadian Fed taxes on a US gallon $1.36. Add Provincial $0.58 Total $1.94 Vs $0.38USD

Trump has no reason to respect anything either of them says, at all. Ones a lame duck, & the others a lame dick, and their roles are interchangeable, with them finishing each others sentences for the last 30 months…& now they’re both just finished.

Reality

How did that happen?
Not on its own, & not with Trudeau/Singh collaboration. Speaking of which, Stephen Guilbeault has been surprisingly quietly absent recently…

They are officially meaningless. That why Smith can double production and Enbridge lay pipe. It's a done deal without Ottawa.

Guilbeault hates Cameco BTW

Cameco and Greenpeace are both organizations that are involved in environmental issues, though they have different goals and approaches:

Cameco
A nuclear fuel company that aims to be a partner in the fight against climate change:
Goals: Cameco aims to reduce its carbon footprint, protect the environment, and support the communities where it operates. It also believes that nuclear energy is part of the solution to climate change.

Targets: Cameco has a 30 by 30 target to reduce its Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 155,000 tCO₂e by 2030. It also supports the Net Zero Nuclear Initiative, which aims to triple global nuclear capacity by 2050.
Environmental management: Cameco uses an ISO 14001-certified environmental management system and conducts environmental monitoring programs.

Greenpeace
An organization that aims to create a green and just world:

Goals: Greenpeace aims to create a world where forests flourish, oceans are full of life, and energy is clean.

History: Greenpeace was founded in 1971 by a crew of people who sailed from Vancouver in an old fishing boat to witness the US testing nuclear bombs in Alaska.

Thank to perogies, no cap on O&G.

The environment minister also defended his ministry’s controversial draft regulations for a cap on oil and gas emissions, unveiled earlier this month.

“Measures like the proposed pollution cap are crucial in addressing emissions from Canada’s highest polluting sectors,” Guilbeault said in a short opening statement.

The cap has been widely panned by energy industry groups, with one recent study finding it would reduce oil production by 626,000 barrels per day by 2030. Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said on Tuesday that she’ll use the province’s sovereignty act to shield its oil and gas facilities from the cap.

Guilbeault’s comments come two days after president-elect Donald Trump’s bombshell announcement that he’ll slap a 25-per-cent-tariff on both Canada and Mexico as a first order of business when he takes office in January.

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said on Tuesday that she’ll use the province’s sovereignty act to shield its oil and gas facilities from the cap.
Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly says Canada is not ruling out restricting energy exports to the United States as a possible countermeasure to president-elect Donald Trump’s tariff threats, an idea that was immediately rejected by Alberta Premier Danielle Smith.
“What I can tell you is everything is on the table,” said Ms. Joly, who is meeting with the provincial premiers on Wednesday, alongside Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc, to discuss how Canada should retaliate in the event of a trade war, etc…

Trudeau and his crew are on CBC already talking up a retaliation plan against the Trump tariffs.

Did Trump drop the caveat of "enhance your border" or face tarrifs?

Did Joly and Le Blanc get snubbed after laying out a $1.3B border security plan when they went to Mar A Largo?

The duo is also looking to build off a "positive call" the ministers had with Tom Homan, Trump's border czar, earlier this month.

In an exclusive interview with CTV's Power Play host Vassy Kapelos on Dec. 19, Homan called border talks(opens in a new tab) with Canada "positive."

"The conversation I have in Canada, I couldn't ask for a better conversation," Homan said.
"Of course, actions have to follow, but I'm very optimistic from the conversation I had that we're going to come up with a good border security plan."

So NO TARIFFS?

Did anything proposed by Team Trudeau get thrown on the scrap pile with Trudeau’s Liberal proroguing so that’s irrelevant?

The lame dick duck party has to get to Trump before the provincial premiers get the opportunity as a united front? That’s…
…a situation in need of damage control before it’s even happened. Ugh…

Done deal as of Dec 17

At this point media and politicians are fucking with your head and trying to look tough on Trump policy.

Homan said he was happy. That guy doesn't look like he's happy very often.

Don't worry Jagmeet is here to save us from the big bad Donald

Far-Left Canadian Leader Threatens President Trump: "If You Think You Can Pick a Fight with Us, There Will Be a Price to Pay!" (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit | by Cullen Linebarger

President Trump’s trolling of Canada continues to trigger all of the right people including outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Now, one can add another highly influential leftist and potential Canadian Prime minister to the list.

Jagmeet Singh, the leader of the radical-left New Democratic Party (NDP) and candidate for Prime Minister, is still hopping mad over Trump’s trolling posted a deranged message to Trump on Sunday afternoon on his X account.

“I have a message for Donald Trump,” Singh began. “Our country’s not for sale.

“Not now. Not ever.”

“I lived across this country and I can tell you: Canadians are a proud people,” he continued. “We’re proud of our country and we’re ready to fight like hell to defend it.”

Singh went on to brag about Canadian firefighters showing up to help Californians suffering from the wildfires. Then he turned his attention back to Trump and threatened him.

“If you think you can pick a fight with us, there will be a price to pay!”

Is Singh allowed in the US without a waiver?
