OTTAWA — The Canada Revenue Agency says it has terminated 330 employees for inappropriately receiving the Canada Emergency Response Benefit during the pandemic, giving its final update on an internal review.

The CRA launched an internal review in June 2023 into employees who received CERB despite being ineligible for the benefit, which identified 600 employees for further investigation.

The benefit, known as CERB for short, provided $2,000 per month to Canadians whose jobs were lost as a result of public health restrictions during the pandemic.

The agency says 185 individuals were not terminated for taking CERB, but 40 of them faced disciplinary action, such as suspension.

Meanwhile, 135 employees were found to have been eligible for CERB and therefore did not face any consequences.

Some employees would have been eligible because they were students or term employees.

The CRA says employees who inappropriately received CERB are required to pay back the benefits they received.

The agency says a small number of ongoing cases, including employees on medical or extended unpaid leave, will take more time to complete.

Ontario residents can now get an updated COVID-19 vaccine as well as a flu shot.

The province says both vaccines are available at participating pharmacies, public health units and doctors’ offices across the province, and it’s safe to get them at the same time.

It says anyone six months or older can get their next COVID-19 shot if it’s been six months since their last dose or COVID-19 infection.

The government says staying up to date on vaccines is the best way to stay healthy during respiratory illness season.

Some health-care providers in Ontario will also be offering free shots that can protect babies from respiratory syncytial virus starting next week.

The RSV immunization program for infants and high-risk children up to 24 months is set to begin Nov. 4.

And before the usual drivel toss Jim out as some "Liberal", no, he's not.

He's also done more service to his country than most, including intelligence. So he knows his shit.

Funny how so many complained about the US being a "Third World Country" - now they get to experience it for real, diseases and all!

Not just covid. There are other useless ones as well. Flu vaccines come to mind. When they admit to a %60 efficacy, there is something wrong. Also, I am old enough to remember the effects of thalidomide. That was "good for pregnant women." Fetuses, not so much. There are also some cancer vaccines being tried that look promising. Note that they were not forced on everyone without a long trial period. There are many drugs out there that have side effects that are worse than the original problem.

Thalidomide isn't a vaccine.

So you ARE one of those "Vaccines are bad" people.

Got'cha.

People like you are why we have a measles outbreak in NB now.

Don't ever claim to "protect kids" when you are suggesting vaccines aren't necessary.

True, but it was made and promoted by the same people. And, like covid vaccines, it was not properly tested before being unleashed on a gullible public.
And the thalidomide disaster led to vastly ramped-up authority for the Food and Drug Administration, which your Orange Jesus and Bobby Kennedy's idiot kid are now trying to dismantle.

Maybe if we tested the large influx of third world migrants these measles would still be in the unvaccinated third world .

Maybe if they didn’t change the definition of vaccines they might have more credibility.

Do have any comprehension skills at all? Maybe try reading what people post before you decide your warped thinking is what they wrote.
