The Hostage and Missing Families Forum issued a statement calling on "the Israeli government, world leaders, and mediating countries to leverage the military achievement into a diplomatic one by pursuing an immediate agreement for the release of all 101 hostages: the living for rehabilitation and the murdered for proper burial."

In an assault that bore an eerie resemblance to October 7, though on a much smaller scale, at the crack of dawn, a squad of Hamas terrorists invaded Israel through a tunnel dug under the Kerem Shalom border crossing and began attacking military targets. Two soldiers were killed and another, Gilad Shalit, was kidnapped.

Shalit languished in Hamas captivity for five years before a deal was struck to set him free in exchange for 1,027 Palestinian prisoners, including 280 who were serving life sentences. Among them was one Yahya Sinwar.

The self-declared Kahane spokesman was found guilty for carrying signs that read, "Expel the Arab enemy" and "Rabbi Kahane was right: The Arab MKs are a fifth column." He was acquitted on similar charges for chanting "Death to the Arabs" after a Jerusalem bombing, and for stating that outlawing the Kach movement was a joke. The prosecution said it would ask for a jail term. Ben-Gvir said he would appeal the ruling. "The same legal system that gave freedom of expression to [former Israeli Arab MK Azmi] Bishara convicts me," he said. "Yet again it has been proven that some judges are hypocritical leftists." Ben-Gvir has a long history of legal action against him. A date has yet to be set for his sentencing hearing. He was released to house arrest. I’m thinking back to the GoPro link where the Hamas hero was manhandling the woman in the sweatpants and stuffing her in the back of a jeep, and she was bleeding through the sweats front and back, etc… but maybe that’s just a coincidence of that time of month and haemorrhoids and stress and so on and so forth or something.
