A month after kicking him down the White House stairs, Democrats welcomed Joe Biden to the stage of their Chicago convention, the better to profess how much they well and truly love him.

“We started out … with President Biden, who we all love, we all adore, we look forward to seeing him tonight,” convention chairperson Minyon Moore burbled Monday, the first day of the Democrat gathering, as delegates and party elders waited for the sitting president to speak his piece and get it done with.

“I love you so much Joe,” vice president and would-be successor Kamala Harris assured him before the raptuous crowd. Biden wiped away tears as they chanted their affection. Even former speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared to blub a bit, which one late night show host joked was “like the iceberg waving goodbye to the Titanic” given her role in elbowing him out of office.

Maybe it’s true, as claimed, that Biden’s farewell address was delayed until almost midnight East Coast time — way past peak viewing hours — because the crowd was just so enthusiastic about clapping, cheering and professing their love. And maybe he meant it when he claimed not to be bitter, angry or otherwise upset at getting the bum’s rush. Perhaps he also didn’t care at being scheduled so early in the festivities, reserving later dates for bigger fan favourites, like Oprah Winfrey and Barack and (especially) Michelle Obama.

Whatever. Freeing themselves from Biden was cold-blooded and certainly messier than many would have liked, but it was unquestionably the right decision, as polls have shown since the moment he bowed to the pressure and announced he’d surrender his place on November’s ticket to another Democrat, opening the way to Harris’s coronation. The Biden team was stumbling straight towards defeat. Harris has quickly been elevated to saviour status — not least by a clearly relieved liberal media — with a real shot at success if the momentum can be maintained.

They lied about him previously & they're STILL lying about him; how much he's loved & respected. DUH!! They continue to lie & are very good at it.

OK, so he was, in the opinion of conservatives, too old to be President, and in the opinion of conservatives, it was ungrateful and a betrayal to urge him to step aside.

How about if the Democrats also nominated Trump? Would that make conservatives happy? Or are they so addicted to hate that they'd still hate half of America?

You know Tech who is hateful? It's the Progressives in the Democratic party. They're not only hateful, they're intolerant & manipulative as well. They're simply not a "happy" bunch which is why they were TRYING to exhibit "joy" at the DNC and failed miserably.

They prefer power & control. They don't like "happy people" They don't like people who are content with their lives - no, they absolutely MUST destroy those people instead. They absolutely MUST make everyone else as miserable as they are. All one has to do is watch "The View" to know what I'm talking about. It's one of many programs that are hateful & have nothing nice to say about anyone except their buds!! It's quite amusing & sad at the same time.

We’d have to ask the Americans in November after the dust settles I guess?

Well, RFK himself stated that he didn't realize how much in common Trump's policies were with his. They don't agree on everything, in fact he said he "disagreed vehemently" with Trump on some issues. Overall, he was surprised at what they did have in common, what Trump was willing to do & he thought those policies were so important to implement, he was supporting Trump. The rest can be rehashed out between the two of them & hopefully, they can come to terms with whatever policies they do disagree with. That's what happens when you communicate with others, explain your positions & why you're taking that stand. Interesting what can happen when we talk to each other, right?

I don’t know the political leanings or accusations thereof with respect to American (or British) media outlets…but this one must be “Far Right Extremist” ‘cuz labels. Is the partnership between African-Americans and pro-Palestine activists rapidly beginning to unravel?

Are Black activists finally realizing their anti-racism agenda has been co-opted by Hamas-loving terror-deniers with whom they have little or nothing in common? And will this alliance finally come to a violent crescendo this week at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago – where 100,000 anti-Israel protesters intend to disrupt the coronation of America’s first female/Black/Indian-American presidential candidate?

That’s a prospect as influencer-advocates from both sides begin to clash over competing – and fundamentally incompatible– visions for their self-described liberation struggles. And while this conflict may involve a rainbow tribe of anti-Israel agitators, the skirmishes between Black Americans and Arab-Americans reveal the fragile fault lines among the intersectional far Left.

Take a series of social media posts on TikToklast week. In them, Arab activist-influencers – many raw and unhinged – essentially demand their Black counterparts abandon campaigning for Kamala Harris because of her support for the “genocide” in Gaza.

“The way y’all switched up and did a 180 on Palestinians … the second we have a black woman run for office is disgusting,” declared TikTok user @dan1ahan. “Keep Palestinians’ names out of your f-cking mouth when defending your decision to vote for Kamala,” added an Arab-American creator menacingly, in typical woke Gen-Z vulgarity…because inclusivity? 😳
(Sorta has a Will Smith Oscar’s vibe)

True, Harris has repeatedly insisted that Israel has a right to defend itself and yes she’s yet to agree to an arms embargo against Jerusalem. But Harris also been far more critical of Israel’s Gaza campaign than her boss, President Biden, and has repeatedly called for a ceasefire.

She would also be much more likely to facilitate that ceasefire than her Republican rival, Donald Trump, who’s indicated he supports Israel’s “total victory” strategy in Gaza.

But like so many “woke” causes, committing to Palestine demands complete fealty and allegiance – even at the expense of your own best interests. And so the TikTokers – many hysterical and ranting through tears – accuse their Black American allies of nothing less than treason for wanting one their own (?) to win the White House. Oh well.

Are TikTokers mainstream? I don’t know ‘cuz I’m not mainstream.
