Asked Wednesday whether he'd be willing to testify before a parliamentary committee seized with assessing the Liberals' handling of foreign interference, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau dodged the question, saying that "political attacks" won't help Canada counter the "very serious issue" of China's election meddling?

With all their filibustering and obstructionist “rapporteur” manoeuvres to draw attention away from the interference operations Beijing ran on their behalf during the 2019 and 2021 elections, the Trudeau Liberals might think they’re being clever. But they’re being too clever by half.

The longer this drags out, the more light gets shed on the squalid and intimate relationship between the Liberals’ political base in this country’s wealthy and well-connected Mandarin-bloc hierarchy and the Ferrari-driving consiglieri of Beijing’s strong-arming and influence-peddling network in Canada. It’s the same circle of power.

I’m all yours for when the details come out!
China wanted the liberals to win, but not win big so minority position….& if any of the conservatives were knowingly involved, they should be turfed and charged… in a heartbeat!!!

Liberals maybe $500 ethics fines or something…. Or whatever the going rate is.

Apparently two conservatives were targeted , to be expected in our system where one well coordinated group can capture a riding association.

Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher used to say the problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.

Voters also run out of patience with opportunistic socialist politicians.

Someone should mention this to NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh as he props up Prime Minister Justin Trudeau with his “confidence and supply” agreement. That deal was supposed to bring stability to government. How’s that going? Parliament is in chaos with Liberals filibustering at a committee wanting Trudeau’s chief of staff to testify about foreign interference in Canadian elections.

Trudeau staggers from one crisis to another using creative ways to circumvent procedure. He’s the master of weasel words. Who’d ever heard of a “rapporteur” before he announced the appointment of a “special” one to probe the allegations? We don’t need a rapporteur, special or otherwise. We have a parliamentary system that, if allowed to work, can handle this matter quite nicely. Or we could have a public inquiry. The rest at the above link.

It used to be known as community.
I see.

community, communal, commune, communism... aha!

seems it was fukt from the git-go.

but in fairness, as I say, if there are people involved it will be fuktup.

don't matter the 'system'.

we are inherently flawed.

I think one of the problems with the notion of 'community' is its tendency toward considerations of 'us' vs. 'them'.

The one from Ontario has stepped down & is sitting as an independent (until he says he's proven innocent). I don't know if he was forced to quit or did it on his own but that's what should be done until this is all cleared up.
