Considering MV wasn't forewarned, sending the refugees off to the base actually seems like the better choice for them for the moment. Most of the border crossers remain in the Southern states, where they can get work in agriculture.. Not sure about the visa overstays.

Yeah, nothing as humourous as conning legal asylum-seekers from Venezuela onto planes and dumping them on a community not ready to receive them.

Good politics, I guess, if you consider own-the-libs stunts to be better than working the problem and fixing the immigration system.

I hope they send many more. Maybe they'll get the hint (altho' I seriously doubt it). It's for thee, not for me mantra that is coming to the fore. Notice they sent them to a military base but MV aren't actually doing the "help". They couldn't be bothered I guess.

Well i suspect one way or another that'll be the plan. If migrants start showing up in large numbers in many of these 'sanctuary cities' then they'll either have to put their money where their mouth is or admit there's a problem. Which would be the point i guess.
