Just want to highlight this part of the video, too.

""I'm stuck in this body and this role, and this is going to happen to me No matter what I want." "

That is EXACTLY how it is for anyone who is Trans, whether male or female.

This isn't just a 'sex' thing like so many people make it out to be. It's about a fundamental core of being who you are.

Uh huh. So would Trans women.

Perhaps then there isn't an issue quite so much as there is made out to be.
I am not one who ever said it was an issue. Of course I make an assumption that woman's washrooms have stalls like the men's just a few more. I have never actually been in one so I can't say for sure.

Bingo!

I have nothing against the soup as a bowl but when a noodle falls out and start screaming bloody murder and foghorning all while demanding a lift back into the bowl it is ridiculous.

Anthony's second video, this time Trans Men.

All the furor over Trans women going into 'female' bathrooms.

But you'd (generic) be okay with Trans men going to them?
If they provide proper paperwork to prove they are trans and not perverts, maybe.

And this is why we run into an impossible situation. You're correct that it's a reasonable position to say that "we're happy to provide accomodation for those with a genuine condition, but we need to be concerned about abuse from predators that we know are out there". However - the trans people are just as correct in replying that it's not fair to expect them to "prove" themselves by testing and paperwork and make them jump through hoops just to prove they are what they are. I mean - YOU don't have to prove you're not a pervert to use the washroom, and there's been plenty of cases of people being assaulted in bathrooms by the same sex. It's kind of exclusionary to require them to provide id and proof to use the can.

So both sides wind up with valid points that are completely in conflict. How do you resolve that fairly?

Y'know, a brief survey of public bathrooms seems to indicate that the toilets have stalls, and most of the urinals have little dividers. If looking at a man's back while he takes a piss, or staring at the door of a stall wherein a woman is taking a piss, is what trips your trigger, you go for it.

In your neck of the woods perhaps but i've never seen a 'divider' between urinals, and the problem with stalls is they usually don't go all the way to the ground and it's easy to slip a phone or the like under (which has happened and is often pointed to by those who would claim the potential for abuse is significant).

It's also been stated that a predator could hang around in the bathroom a bit till there's only one other person and then assault them.

In any case whether these are genuine concerns or not they may many women feel very uncomfortable and frightened, so obviously there's a little kick back. "It's all in your head" has never been a particularly effective counter argument to people's concerns.
