What Emergency Act?

So far, the various justifications the Trudeau government has given for invoking the Emergencies Act against the Freedom Convoy protests have fallen apart.

Consider the record to date at the above LINK.

Freedom Convoy protesters did not attempt to set fire to an Ottawa apartment building after locking residents inside, contrary to government claims.

Despite reports of illegal guns in the cabs of some truckers protesting in Ottawa, no gun charges have been laid to date.

Despite claims by Mendicino women were threatened with sexual assault by protesters, no sexual assault charges have been laid to date.

OPP Commissioner Thomas Carrique — and some government security officials — have said intelligence gathering indicated the Freedom Convoy protest posed a threat to national security.

Neither the RCMP nor Ottawa police asked the federal government to invoke the act, contrary to claims by Public Safety Minister Marco “Pinocchio” Mendicino.

The Ambassador Bridge blockade ended the night before Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act meaning it wasn’t needed, nor did the blockades cause major economic issues.

(Cross-border trade in February 2022 during the Freedom Convoy protests in Ontario and Alberta went up 16% compared to February 2021, based on Statistics Canada data.)

The most serious criminal charges were laid in Coutts, Alberta, where police arrested a dozen people Feb. 14 on allegations ranging from weapons offences to conspiracy to murder.

(That was the same day Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act, meaning the charges were made through normal police investigation procedures, unrelated to the act.)

You don’t invoke the Emergencies Act because you think some of the protesters were loud, obnoxious, honked their horns too often, were rude to the media or where blamed for dancing or urinating on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

As the Canadian Civil Liberties Association wrote in its legal challenge of Trudeau invoking the Emergencies Act, Canada has experienced “terrorist attacks, economic collapses and a pandemic.

“All of these situations were dealt with using existing laws and normal democratic processes, or, when absolutely necessary, municipal or provincial emergency powers.

“There have also been national protest movements that occupied public spaces and city streets for months and blockaded critical infrastructure such as railways …

“These too (some of them anyway) have been responded to within the context of existing laws.”

Just three more years to go. Heaven help us, and good luck to us all. Hope we can survive this Marxist WEF globalist satanic evil that has taken over this once great country called Canada, and turned Canada into a nightmare. 😟

Yes Ron, we got that email too! It's incredible how incompetent our Leadership is both here & in America. Aren't there some smarter people out there who would actually know what they're doing?

Both Pierre Poilievre and Maxine Bernier appear to know as to what they are doing and talking about, and both appear to be quite competent looking to do the right thing and run a country in a proper honest and competent manner. Both speak common sense and logic and show intelligence, and not that leftist liberal emotion, lies and bullshit. But it looks to me like we will have to wait for another three more years until the next election before common sense and logic hopefully finally takes over Canada. But three years is a long way away yet. Will Canada survive?

That's a good question. Unless the NDP comes to their senses, we're stuck & Trudeau can do all the illegal things he wants with no consequences. It's disgusting.

I don't call Trudeau "Teflon Don" for nothing. Teflon Don was a name given to mafia leader John Gotti because it was very hard to try and stick any crimes on him that he committed and was involved with. It took years before the law finally got to nail his mafia mobster Teflon Don John Gotti's ass.

First of all anybody who votes for the NDP party has no common sense or logic at all. NDP supporters live in a Marxist dream world and are just a bunch of emotionally wrecked toddlers who do not understand what real life is all about. And with the help of the non-sensical communist NDP, Teflon Don Trudeau should be around for a very long time yet. Plenty of time to wreck and turn Canada even more into a third world communist like hell hole. It is truly disgusting as to what is being allowed to continue and go on in this once great nation called Canada. Teflon Don Trudeau must go now. An arrest warrant for his arrest would work well for me. (y)

OK, yes I have heard of it now that you mentioned it. Just didn't remember. Thanks!
That's what True Dope's trip was about (well, that and probably to spend sometime where he ain't as widely despised as he is in Canada, which'd be just about anyplace). But yeah, this trip was connected to the OAS's Summit of the Americas.

For the past week, Trudeau was in Los Angeles for meetings with hemispheric leaders at the Summit of the Americas, where he emphasized that the pandemic is not over even as many jurisdictions lift public health measures. On Thursday, he met with U.S. President Joe Biden.

Trudeau returned to Canada on Friday.

And immediately went into hiding upon his return to Canada. He told us that he once again has covid. This Marxist dummy should just stay home. Did this guy get fully vaccinated as he has said that he has done already? I guess that covid must still be alive and well as far as the dictator is concerned. I guess that his getting covid now and again, ha-ha, will be his continued excuse to lie to try and keep the many covid mandates and restrictions in place for the foreseeable future in Canada. Canada must now be seen as one of the last of the Mohican covid countries left in the world. It's time for a pow-wow.

I also heard that the meeting was a big bust. Several countries did not bother to show up and attend that globalist elite WEF climate change meeting. It was just another waste of taxpayer's tax dollars once again. Hey, what's another few more million bucks to go further in debt with the globalist banksters, eh? They must really love this baboon of a useful idiot for the globalists alright. They make millions of bucks off this baboon. I hope that the Marxist babbon gets Monkey Pox. :ROFLMAO:

A great chance at what, chief? Getting fckd even more by America? America gave us all covid in Canada. Your Fauci started the covid farce.

The Meeting was nothing more than one big but useless pow-wow of nothingness. The only thing that will come out from that meeting is that I will have to pay more taxes, get more government, and no doubt lose a little more freedom. That is what we the peasants always get all the time from these WEF globalist meetings. The globalist middle finger up the arse hole. (n)
