According to the poll, 45 per cent of respondents are in favour of spending more on defence, compared to 39 per cent who said they'd rather see more spending dedicated to support programs to help those struggling amid the pandemic

Residents of Quebec (47 per cent) are more likely to favour spending money on social programs, according to Nanos, while Canadians in the Prairies are more likely to support increased defence spending.

Canadians won’t have a say on spending on defence or social programs for the next 1000 days with parliament only answerable to Justin & Jagmeet (with the Minority mandate Eastern Canada gave Justin last Fall).

There will be that 3 years to watch and see what does (& doesn’t) happen to decide as a nation what we want to do with what’s left when they’re done.

I’m not holding my breath though, and I can see this ending Jagmeet’s career but Justin has brought so much filth and scandal to the table in the last six years and Eastern Canadians keep reelecting him, that anything is possible.

We didn't elect either of them. One of the many problems with our electoral system. Some dipshit in Quebec gets elected by his friend's money and all of a sudden that gives him the right to destroy the country.

Far more to it than that. The system is rigged in favour of OntariOWE and Kweebek. The only way to make it fair is to make all ridings the same size, or weighted votes to give large rural ridings equal voting power. We also neeedan elected equal senate.

If by “we” you mean Vancouver/Toronto & Montreal….where the Conservatives got more votes in Canada than any other party in the last two consecutive elections, and the Liberals still got minority governance through seat counts both times(?), then yeah, that’s what “we” elected (?).

Wait….is that what “we” elected? I don’t recall voting for a Justin Monarchy with Jagmeet as his footstool to bypass Parliament for the next three years? Maybe “we” did vote for that, as these are confusing times.

The fewer people in large areas shouldn't have their economies wrecked by clueless citiots thousands of miles away. Large ridings need equal power to cities.

The Liberals have NEVER liked having the military and even his dad reduced the military to such an extent that when my hubby went on exercises there were times when they didn't have enough bullets so had to shout - bang, bang!! True story.

As a member of NATO we're to spend 2% of GDP on the military - I doubt if we've ever spent that much - maybe under a Conservative government, but certainly not a Liberal one.
