That was where things started to go south, when the point of the whole thing got foggy and went from end-the-border-mandates to f**k-Trudeau. As time progressed and the authorities and public opinion turned against the protesters it got harder and harder to tell the goodguys from the badguys.
He could have taken all the air out of it with a measured, moderate speech that didn't give an inch, explained what was going on and why, and encouraged Canadians to practice the virtues of courage, patience, and fortitude.

Without media coverage by the time the convoy reached Saskatchewan it was about a thousand trucks with more joining daily . In frigid temperatures thousands of supporters greeted them with flags and signs food money and encouragement.It kept growing from there into the final result in Ottawa . No one saw this coming , so how could they have been prepared .
