The UK is applying today to join the fast-growing £9 trillion Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP)!

Greenland wants to "confront EU bullies" by forming a trade partnership with Great Britain.

Greenland left the EU in 1985 after a 1982 referendum in which 53% voted Leave.

Most people in the UK believe that Brexit helped the UK vaccine development and delivery programme.

I don't understand the ruling Scottish National Party (SNP). They call themselves nationalists, the successors of William Wallace, yet they want Scotland to be part of the EU. Now Scotland is out of the EU they want Scotland to leave the UK and rejoin the EU. What kind of nationalism is that, where you want to swap rule from London for rule from Brussels? Despite their name, they aren't Scottish nationalists at all. They don't want a free, sovereign, independent Scotland running its own affairs.

And then the SNP have the problem that Scotland would have to join the euro if they rejoined the EU, and most Scots want to keep the pound. Britain, Denmark and Sweden, three member states who kept their own currencies, were given exceptions by the EU so that they never have to join the euro. But every new member state that joins must adopt the euro at some point. Even the SNP want to keep the pound, so it seems as though they don't understand EU rules. And London won't even allow them to keep the pound anyway. And if the Scots think they can leave the UK and then rejoin the EU and receive even larger largesse from the EU than they are accustomed to in the UK - with English taxpayers paying for things like free hospital parking, free care for the elderly, no university tuition fees, which are paid for by the English taxpayer but all denied to the English - then they've got another thing coming. After the likes of Greece, the EU wouldn't want to fund another subsidy junky. The EU will either tell Scotland it's not wanted as a member or it will have to be a net contributor to the EU budget. Not only that, but Scotland's debt level is way too high for entry qualification into the EU. In order to be allowed to join the EU, an independent Scotland would have to take some pretty serious medicine first. So if there is another referendum campaign, the UK Government would have to explain all these things to the Scots.

Remainers were happy Biden was "elected" President of the United States because they thought it would mean the man who hasn't been in favour of Brexit would not do a trade deal with Britain.

They may be wrong again...

Brexit breakthrough as US ‘set to prioritise trade deal with lNCREDlBLE UK over EU’

BREXIT Britain is likely to be ahead of the EU in the queue for a US trade deal because it has an "incredible amount to offer", a former Washington aide told Express News.

Imagine serving up Brussels sprouts for dinner and your children actually enjoying them. Or, as a nut-allergy sufferer, being able to spread peanut butter on your morning toast. Or helping prevent heart disease merely by eating a tomato. In the not-too-distant future these could become reality. Thanks to a post-Brexit review into the use of genetically modified (GM) – and its more modern sister, gene-edited (GE) – foods in the UK, your shopping basket could soon start to look very different.

so...I wonder: why wasn't that banker sh!thole over run by nazis in WW2 and why aren't they in the fascist EU today?

Oh right, bankers!!!! I guess the 2030 agenda greta reset genocide is just for everyone else!

Switzerland doesn't take part in wars.

It's been a neutral country since the Congress of Vienna in May 1815 - which set about a rebuilding and long-term peace programme for Europe after the French defeat in the Napoleonic Wars.

Austria, France, Britain, Portugal, Prussia, Russia, Spain and Sweden all agreed that Switzerland should be neutral. It has not been in armed conflict since 1815. Switzerland fought on Britain's side in the Napoleonic Wars because France invaded it in 1798. Switzerland didn't even join the UN until 2002.

On 4th March 2001, Switzerland held a referendum - it allows referenda on lots of things, to actually let the people decide and not the Government - on whether or not to open accession talks with the EU. This was rejected by 76.8% of voters. This was unlike in Britain, where the Government took us into the EU in 1973 without even asking the people.

In 1937, Hitler told the Swiss that he intended to respect their neutrality and leave them alone.

However, this was a lie. In 1940 the Germans commenced their plan to invade Switzerland - Operation Tannenbaum ("fir tree").

Despite being largely Germanic, Hitler hated the Swiss because of their strong democratic tradition.

In a 1941 meeting with Mussolini, Hitler declared:

"Switzerland possesses the most disgusting and miserable people and political system. The Swiss are the mortal enemies of the new Germany."

Eventually, though, the Germans abandoned their Swiss invasion plan.

For reasons that are still uncertain, Hitler never ordered the invasion. One theory is that a neutral Switzerland would have been useful to hide Nazi gold and to serve as a refuge for war criminals in case of defeat. This may also explain Germany's continued recognition of Switzerland's neutrality.

It's because Switzerland is a neutral country and doesn't get involved in wars and the Germans (eventually) respected its neutrality.
