So forget about the whataboutism a moment...

Are you denying the ones who plotted this kidnapping attempt were right wing extremists?
I would , from what I see they are left wing extremists . Anarchists are generally not right .

Yep, it's right wingers that are currently looting, burning, assaulting, destroying, murdering and creating "autonomous" zones in US cities while Democraps egg them on.

The left became unhinged the moment Trump won the GOP primaries in 2015. You've been unhinged for longer I'm sure.

Meanwhile, Black Americans have been pointing to the 1994 crime bill as an example of systemic racism for years now. And Joe Biden is the man who wrote and sponsored that bill. Meanwhile his pick for VP has a family history of owning slaves. Oh, and the for-profit prison system that has been responsible for a ridiculous number of innocent Black people and those convicted of fairly minor offences being railroaded into it was the brain-child of...wait for it...Joe Biden. Separating crack from coke and making the penalty for crack much harsher was also Biden's brain child. And gee, what a shocker, the predominant users of crack were the Black community while coke users tended to be middle to upper class White people.

But low-life, low-information shit stains like you will ignore those harsh facts cuz "Trump is a racist nazi".  Troglodytes.
extremely unhinged post by fat right-wing pig oinker
it doesn't take much effort to look at FBI statistics to show right-wing scumrats are the predominant perpetrators of domestic terrorism.

Are they? Even the Michigan AG can't pin them to being right wing extremists

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said in a Thursday statement there has been "a disturbing increase in anti-government rhetoric and the re-emergence of groups that embrace extremist ideologies.

“These groups often seek to recruit new members by seizing on a moment of civil unrest and using it to advance their agenda of self-reliance and armed resistance," the first-term attorney general said. "This is more than just political disagreement or passionate advocacy. Some of these groups’ mission is simply to create chaos and inflict harm upon others.”

Lewis said many extremist groups don't try to radicalize others "as much as they take people who are already radicalized." He added that while some militia groups attract racists, not all anti-government groups are white supremacists.

"Especially with groups like the boogaloo boys, which are primarily anti-government, you can get both white supremacists and left-leaning anarchists in the same group," Lewis said. "They can attract and put out narratives that appeal to both left- and right-leaning people who don't like the government........More

But in recent years, Cooter said, Michigan Militia has become a term for all militia groups in the state.

For the most part, she said, militia groups are united in their ideology, and that, in part, is why Michigan has been a place where they have thrived: a rural population, combined with beliefs attributed to individual freedom and self-reliance.

The militia groups, she said, tend to support Second Amendment rights, limited government and a strict — or literal — interpretation of the Constitution. They tend to be somewhat secretive, inwardly focused, and not much of a threat.

Modern militia groups, Cooter said, came into being in the early 1990s after sieges and standoffs that included a shootout at Ruby Ridge, in Boundary County, Idaho, in 1992, and in Waco, Texas, where the religious sect, the Branch Davidians, was based.

Most of the groups, Cooter added, are law-abiding......More

Seems like nobody can pin them as Left or Right wing extremists, so I guess you are wrong and the ball is back in your court

No mention in the article as to why the FBI agent that tried to sell explosives wasn't charged with anything.

You DO know that law enforcement regularly set's up stings for operations like this where they offer to 'sell' or 'buy' things from criminals, right?

You do know he was kidding right?
Sort of. A few years back in BC the RCMP set up a couple whose combined IQ probably didn't hit room temperature to buy some explosives to blow up the legislature or some such. Can't remember all the details but when it finally got to court the RCMP got a blast from the judge for setting up the couple who could not possibly have planned such an event on their own.

So the judge scorned the cops on an obvious set up? And they should have been if it was proven that the defendants were all talk and no action until they were pushed into action by the sting.

I don't think that was the case in Michigan though

Probably not.
Back in the 60s-70s it was quite common for Vancouver police to pose as drug dealers and then bust some kid for buying what was probably bunk from them. I never thought it to be right. They would also induce people to start protests and the occasional riot. Agent Provocateur they were called.

What would you charge him with?
Illegal sale of explosives. I don't know the rules where you are but here you can only sell explosives to a licensed blaster that has an explosives magazine license. Or how about conspiracy to commit a crime? If he was going to sell the explosives knowing they were going to be used for illegal purposes or to someone he knows does not have the proper license would make him just as guilty.
