Interesting court ruling yesterday mail in votes have to be counted on the day of the election no days or weeks after to count them in Wisconsin, this ruling will spread across America IMO

Why am I against it? They should be counted on Nov. 3rd no? All rulings are saying follow the law if you don't like it have Gov. vote and change it, not the courts.

(AP) — The Michigan appeals court denied a request to require the counting of absentee ballots received after the time polls close on Election Day, ruling that the battleground state’s deadline remains intact despite voters’ approval of a constitutional amendment that expanded mail-in voting.

The court, in a 2-1 decision released Wednesday, said it is up to lawmakers to change the deadline that has been in place for at least 91 years. The League of Women Voters of Michigan and three voters sued in May, seeking a declaration that absentee ballots be counted as long as they are mailed on or before Election Day and are received within six days of the election.

MADISON - A divided federal appeals court Thursday reinstated a Wisconsin law that allows absentee ballots to be counted only if they are returned by Election Day.

The 2-1 decision reverses a ruling from last month that would have allowed more time for receiving and counting ballots because of the coronavirus pandemic. Under the earlier order, absentee ballots would have been counted for up to a week after Election Day if they were postmarked on or before Election Day.

The appeals court also put back in place other election rules, including one that limits where poll workers can serve.

Democrats, their allies and nonpartisan groups had sought the changes to make it easier to vote when many people are trying to limit contact during the pandemic....More

Well they were going to hold the debate so it's not that they couldn't, Trump backed out so it's kind of hard to have a debate with one person. I don't know if those in the commission get paid or not, I can't find any information on that. I know it's a nonprofit organization, that's about it.

Though anyone who has votes post marked before Nov 3 should still be able to have their vote counted, especially since the dipshit in charge of the mail won't comply (can't comply) with the court order he was given.

But I also think this BS should'a been solved long before now. If only there was a Government that gave a shit about the votes of the people to have pushed for such a thing.

The commission changed the format once because the DNC requested it without consulting the Trump team, then they cancelled it without consulting either party after the tweet. Trump said he would be fine having more protocols put in place, held outdoors. Just not virtually where there can be too much control given to the moderator and the commission in terms of cutting off the candidates and teleprompter reading by Biden behind the scenes. No negotiations between both parties were held to insure that verifies each candidate would not benefit in the use of aids to help in the debate, go figure

Conservative commentator and activist Candance Owens led a peaceful Back the Blue rally in Washington, D.C. on Saturday. The author of Blackout: How Black America Can Make Its Second Escape from the Democrat Plantation is encouraging minorities to leave the Democratic Party and support President Trump. Owens and her supporters traveled to the White House where President Trump addressed the crowd in his first public event since contracting the Wuhan coronavirus.

"There is not a time that Black Americans, Latino Americans, Asian Americans, Brazilian Americans need to find their voice more," Owens told the large crowd. "I know it can be scary. I know what it's like when you look at your own friends and your own family and people that you've grown up with and they tell you that you're crazy and that you're a racist but ... if the left wins, we are not going to recognize this country anymore."

"They are looking to foster race hate. When they see a crowd like this, this makes them nervous," said Owens.

Owens and the rally-goers then marched to the White House where President Trump attended his first public event since contracting the Wuhan coronavirus.

"Democrats have run nearly every inner city in America ... for a hundred years and their policies have delivered nothing but calamity, poverty, and trouble," Trump told the crowd. "Sleepy Joe Biden has betrayed Black and Latino Americans ... for half a century. Shipping your jobs to China ... opening your borders to mass illegal immigration ... trapping us in endless foreign wars ... and selling you out to the rich, globalist, Wall Street donors. Black and Latino Americans are rejecting the radical socialist left and they are embracing our pro-jobs, pro-worker, pro-police .. and pro-American agenda."

The liberal media only covered the event to accuse Owens of paying supporters to be there. The media believes as Joe Biden does: "you ain't black" if you support President Trump.

Owens' event was peaceful, in sharp contrast to left-wing gatherings. Has the media ever investigated who's been paying Antifa and the Black Lives Matter thugs to trash our cities?

don't say that. It isn't over until the numbers are in..........and IF one can believe them. This coming election is suspect by virtue of how trump has meddled with various elements that are needed to make it work smoothly. In this case It ain't 'over until the fat guy does not sing. Don't underestimate the Trump shenanigans. It is not an even playing field when one plays by the rules and one does not.
