The only reason hoid is in favour of this app is because trudeau announced it!
One more thing , The range of bluetooth out in the open is about 30 to 50 feet.
If an infected person is walking down a busy street, which he shouldn't be doing in the first place, the hospitals will be swamped with demand for tests...from people who were not even close to that infected person

He can be a little "thick" about most things!

Apparently not, they stated on the news tonight there is no ability to get your location.
The government tells you lots of things that are not true.
There are only two ways the system can work. 1 is that your phone is constantly sending out a signal that you are diseased which everyone else's phone with that app then receives.or
2 there is a location tracker that a computer picks up and retransmits to every other phone in that area that has the app.
Either one uses up data and battery. Both can be manipulated.
Want to create a big scare? Just have your phone send out a signal you have Covid and everyone you get near that has the app will be running in to get tested needlessly.

The app does not know who you are. It simply establishes a bluetooth connection with any other phone it is near to. When someone tests positive the person is given a key to enter that will automatically send an alert to all of the phones it was close to during the time period.
Who you are and where you are are irrelevant.

It certainly does need to know who you are (either by name or IP address) otherwise how would it know a user had COVIDD?

The infection will happen regardless of whether I have the app or not. I will be called by public health, there will be a notice or I would show symptoms. I am not going to let anybody knowingly infect me. I maintain social distance everywhere possible and I wash my hands frequently. Not much else I can do. If the app guaranteed I wouldn't be infected, I would get it. It does not and will not help in that regard.
If someone goes to the doctor and tests positive the doctor gives that person a key to enter into their app.
When they enter the key the app goes into its history and sends a message to every bluetooth contact in its memory for that time period.
The message will be a short explanation that they may have been exposed and will give them a number to call to find out what to do.
It will make the job of tracking and informing people at risk much easier and faster.

How is public health phoning you up and telling you any different than the app doing it, since the app simply works for public health?

It's too bad more isn't done using HCQ plus zinc & Zithromax - Unfortunately, non-medical personnel are telling people not to use it. But if it works, why not? I think that doctor (whose video was deleted from Twitter or FB) may have information that the public is missing simply due to politics. Why not investigate what she's saying to determine if perhaps she may be right? But to categorically deny what MAY be something that helps people who have covid get through this horrible disease, is plain stupid. Having said that, most likely they don't want to know because there's too much money involved in getting a vaccine so pharma probably likes the idea of Twitter/FB deleting a possible solution as it would be money out of their pockets.

But I would like to hear more of what her experiences were and for her to provide supporting documentation. But of course, that will likely never happen. So everyone loses simply because of ideology and politics. Actually, since she's a doctor and Black, this is an example of how the left will not support Blacks in any position they don't agree with. Talk about hypocrisy but who is surprised?

You can still see her video on Parler - it's worth a watch.

Wouldn't it be a hell of a lot less complicated to stay away from people who might be infected. It's worked well for me, so far!

There is a lot of encouraging news on the vaccine and treatment front.

The demon sperm theory is not part of that.

And its probably a good thing to know if you have been around someone who tested positive,

There is no difference so I choose the later.

Nice to know.

Is it important to you that everyone knows your feeling on this topic?

It took one person who initially tested negative to subsequently contract it and spread it.

New Evidence Suggests Young Children Spread Covid-19 More Efficiently Than Adults

https://www.forbes.com/sites/willia...19-more-efficiently-than-adults/#7d70246319fd

Two new studies, though from different parts of the world, have arrived at the same conclusion: that young children not only transmit SARS-CoV-2 efficiently, but may be major drivers of the pandemic as well.

I think any parent would have guessed this already, although a lot of people seemed to have been highly motivated to say otherwise.
