vote like you'll be pulled into an unmarked van by secret police and hauled off to an undisclosed location if trump wins again.

The whole world ( except Putin ) Kim and other dictators ) Will be holding its collective breath come election day.

But remember Bush: "anyone but Bush" was the slogan........and he won. Not sure the US population is bright enough to realize the responsibility they have when they vote. They treat it rather casually. There was no public outcry when Russia interfered last time. One can count on the fact the election will not have the integrity is should. Russian meddling ...et al. Trumps corruption has permeated the GOP

(mind you T bones is an exception.....;-)

And I don't matter. I live and vote in Maryland, a solid blue state.

America 'staring down the barrel of martial law', Oregon senator warns

America is “staring down the barrel of martial law” as it approaches the presidential election, a US senator from Oregon has warned as Donald Trump cracks down on protests in Portland, the state’s biggest city.

In interviews with the Guardian, Democrat Ron Wyden said the federal government’s authoritarian tactics in Portland and other cities posed an “enormous” threat to democracy, while his fellow senator Jeff Merkley described it as “an all-out assault in military-style fashion”.
In the early hours of Saturday, thousands of protesters gathered again outside the federal courthouse in the city, shooting fireworks at the building as teargas, dispensed by US agents, lingered above. Protesters and agents used leaf blowers to try to redirect the gas. At around 2.30am, agents marched down the street, clearing protesters with gas at close range. They also extinguished a fire outside the courthouse.
The independent watchdogs for the US justice and homeland security departments said on Thursday they were launching investigations into the use of force by federal agents, including instances of unidentified officers in camouflage gear snatching demonstrators off the streets and spiriting them away in unmarked vehicles.

But you are the exception . The living persona of a real American . Brave and Free .
Middlin' brave. And only kinda-sorta free. But I ain't gonna whine about our electoral system. I think it's past time to amend the Constitution to have direct, popular, majority-vote election of the president and vice-president, but I also know that ain't gonna happen, so I don't fuss about it too much.

Horse shit. Portland has no problems that cannot be handled by the city cops, and if needed the State Police and the National Guard, which you may or may not know is under the authority of the state governor unless called up for Federal duty.

False dichotomy is a fallacy and a lazy and dishonest argument.

Can’t agree or disagree on what assets Portland and the beautiful state of Oregon can bring to bear . But if they can , why aren’t they ?
