There are many departments of government at federal and provincial levels that are already set up to do just this. Just that none of the government agencies are ready to give a billion to some of turdOWE's friends. None of this money was supposed to go to anyone in need, it was all to be gifted to the faithful.

Surely you're not talking about the students that would have been lucky to receive even half of the $912 Million that wasn't gobbled in the layers of perks and administrative fees to get funds distributed?
Do the math based upon the "45,000 students volunteers not receiving financial compensation from the Liberal WE program with a max payout of $5,000." (45,000 students x $5,000 max = one Hell of a lot less than $912,000,000 and one Hell of a lot less than 1/2 of $912,000,000) If 45,000 students maxed out on their WE Volunteer Cash of $5,000 each.....that's about 1/4 of the original $912 Million....and if 1/2 of the $912 Million Dollars is gobbled up in Administrative perks and pay outs to other 'charities' to accept volunteer students labour paid for via tax dollars, and to teachers to recruit these students, and so on and so forth....then there's STILL and amount equal to or greater than the amount of the 45,000 spots for these student volunteer laborers even if they all maxed out at $5,000/head.
Where is that cash accounted for? No wonder the contract was awarded to a shell corporation with no assets to protect the WE Charity from indemnity against the taxpayers or the Canadian Gov't requesting that cash back I'm assuming at this point.

Why should volunteers get money ? If they want to volunteer fine , if they want money they should get a job .
How about a Finance Minister who utterly refuses to answer even the most basic questions about the country's finances. Nothing says "contempt for the taxpayer" anymore than that!
