Well it looks like the WE charity scandal is blowing up in the faces of the people who promoted it into existence.
Well, no harm done, except to the students who will not be getting the money that was set aside for them

Closing statement of Criag Kielburger after 4 hours of testimony.
He and his brother and their charity have done wonderful things and should be and are a Canadian success story. It is unfortunate for them that they got in the middle of a political mud fight.
It is even more unfortunate for the students who will not be getting any of that money that was supposed to go to help them.

It's the perfect opportunity for students to "find themselves" and back out of something they flippantly chose before being buried in $80K of debt.

I looked into it. Scott Moe is indeed the Premier of one of the Western Provinces (the one that's hard to spell but easy to draw). It appears that opposed to the Morneau's or the Trudeau's, the Moe's paid their own way out of their own pockets on a trip, and where not paid (or their families paid...nod nod wink wink) for their participation in physically helping to build a dormitory at a school. They slept in tents on the ground behind an electric fence (wildlife) instead of the $6,000/night digs 'comped like at a casino' to the Moreau's.
Moe, being the crazy bastard that he is, even consulted with and had the trip cleared by the province’s conflict of interest commissioner BEFORE the trip 'cuz that's the way he rolls.....“There is no conflict here, as has been assessed by the conflict of interest commissioner,” Moe said. “I truly believe there most certainly isn’t. So it’s a very, very different situation than what’s happening at the federal level.”

So Margaret Trudeau was paid $312,000.00 plus $167,994.00 in other expenses by WE Charity or WE Charity Foundation for something else then? Is that your point? If it wasn't for speaking engagements now, then what was it for? What are you saying here?

That isn’t something the Kielburger brothers were going to answer on Tuesday, nor could they. That is on the government. That doesn’t mean WE’s hands are clean.
The organization was actively lobbying the government for contracts despite not being registered to lobby. They also have plenty to answer for when it comes to hiring the PM’s family to speak and appear at WE Day and other events only after Trudeau won the October 2015 election. “How much was she paid, Ms. Margaret Trudeau paid, for speaking before November 2015?” Conservative MP Michael Barrett asked. (Before her boy Justin was first elected to the PMO, that is...) “We did not engage her before November 2015,” Marc Kielburger responded.
That answer blew away any claim the Kielburgers made that she was hired because of her advocacy on mental health. Margaret Trudeau’s first book where she opened up on the issue of mental health was published in October 2011, they never hired her then. WE Charity and its affiliated organizations paid out close to $500,000 just to have Margaret Trudeau speak at WE Day and related events — all of it after her son, Justin, became prime minister. According to WE co-founder Marc Kielburger, Trudeau the mother was paid not only $312,000 in speaking fees, but $167,944 in travel and other costs, for a total of $479,944.
The Kielburgers said they hired Margaret Trudeau to speak at WE Day events given her personal story, struggle and advocacy on issues of mental health.

What "ancillary functions" did Margaret Trudeau preform surrounding WE Days worth in the neighborhood of 1/2 a Million Dollars, but only after Justin Trudeau has become the PM of Canada?
