Why do the Feds need to step in on Provincial matters of assistance?Where is the graft in that plan ? Shit do you think we work for free ?
It's the perfect opportunity for students to "find themselves" and back out of something they flippantly chose before being buried in $80K of debt.Well it looks like the WE charity scandal is blowing up in the faces of the people who promoted it into existence.
Well, no harm done, except to the students who will not be getting the money that was set aside for them
Thank you Mr Scheer and Mr Blancet.
An outstanding bit of politics there.
Six or seven I hate Trump threads alive since I left for excercise . One talking about Trudeau and his scandalous cabinet and their conduct . Who cares about Canada ? Viva la SaskAberta .According to testimony today...
"thousands of dollars of previously undisclosed expenses were paid to the Trudeau family"
Wont anyone think of the uneducated children?
I looked into it. Scott Moe is indeed the Premier of one of the Western Provinces (the one that's hard to spell but easy to draw). It appears that opposed to the Morneau's or the Trudeau's, the Moe's paid their own way out of their own pockets on a trip, and where not paid (or their families paid...nod nod wink wink) for their participation in physically helping to build a dormitory at a school. They slept in tents on the ground behind an electric fence (wildlife) instead of the $6,000/night digs 'comped like at a casino' to the Moreau's.It seems that someone named Scott Moe is tied up with WE as well.
He is the premier of one of the western provinces I understand.
Maybe there is something here worth looking into...
The live interview of the WE charity founders seems to be letting all the air out of the "scandal".
There better be something worse than this going on to justify ****ing all those students out of all that money...
Here's some of their testimony today:https://www.cbc.ca/player/play/1769371715918
Closing statement of Criag Kielburger after 4 hours of testimony.
He and his brother and their charity have done wonderful things and should be and are a Canadian success story. It is unfortunate for them that they got in the middle of a political mud fight.
It is even more unfortunate for the students who will not be getting any of that money that was supposed to go to help them.
LINK: http://torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/lilley-kielburgers-defend-but-dont-always-answer-in-we-scandalSo we find out today that Margaret Trudeau was never paid to speak at We Days and we still have people saying she was.
Because nothing matters anymore except attacking your enemies, either real or imagined.
Did we (or is that WE) listen to the same testimony from today? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Jx3yJ5gBioHad you bothered to listen to the testimony today you would have heard - at least ten times - that nobody was or has ever been paid to speak at a WE Day.
I don't expect that will matter to you.
What "ancillary functions" did Margaret Trudeau preform surrounding WE Days worth in the neighborhood of 1/2 a Million Dollars, but only after Justin Trudeau has become the PM of Canada? What I heard - and I heard it at least a dozen times - was that nobody was paid for speaking at WE Days - they were paid for the other work they did at ancillary functions surrounding WE Days.
