I am scheduled for a test Sunday. It takes about a day, as I have to schedule one through Alberta health, and show up with picture ID. As for the discrepancy in testing between the United States (12.4% of population) and Canada (8.4% of population), it comes down to the percentage of positive tests. There is no point in keeping up with the amount of tests in America, if Canadians only come back with positive results a fraction of times Americans do (per-capita).
It would be a big waste of time and money.
