Your post implied that the vote was taken RECENTLY - and it was five years ago!
Thus the need to SLIGHTLY correct your statement!
In addition - I made it clear the pay raises WILL BE ONGOING!
The pay raise they get this year will begat another one NEXT YEAR - and the year after that and - ETC!
It is NOT a one time deal - and that point NEEDS to be stressed!

Again, no shit, exlax.

This should not be a surprise for any Canadian. If it is, hand in your voting card because you dont deserve to vote when you can't be bothered to keep track of what your elected officials are doing.

Did Manitoba shut down hunting and fishing? Alberta and bc didnt.

Didn't read the article? Just commenting on the headline? Interesting

This is commercial fishing in Manitoba.

They have no market because of social distancing and travel rules, fish are at freezer capacity, only market is for suckers and another bottom feeder where they have a contract to ship to. according to the article.

It was your comment about breaking covid rules to get pickerel. That's why I asked if Manitoba has said no fishing.

How is that liberal? The liberals brought this legislation in under their first term with a majority. This was not a secret. I'm commenting on the fact that so many dont know what was done. Ive seen more comments here and on facebook bitching about this sittings MPs voting themselves a raise when this sittings mp's did nothing of the sort. They have all automatically recieved a raise, both the house and the Senate, every year for the past 5 years because the majority liberal government in 2015 passed legislation giving automatic raises every year. This was not a surprise. This should not have been a surprise.

Mixed messages as Ontario, Quebec prepare to unveil tentative plans to reopen

OTTAWA — Residents of Canada's two largest provinces are expected to learn this week what the path to a new normal might look like when the governments of Ontario and Quebec unveil their initial plans for reopening their locked-down economies.
Sunday saw warnings about raising unrealistic expectations as public-health officials across the country reported more than 1,200 new cases of COVID-19 and at least 95 additional deaths. Ontario, meanwhile, announced schools would remain closed through the end of May.
There was nonetheless a palpable sense of expectation as Sunday marked a rare day in which federal and provincial leaders remained largely out of the spotlight ahead of what is likely to be a significant week for the country.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford is planning early in the week to unveil a framework for reopening the province's economy, which has been shuttered since mid March because of COVID-19. Quebec Premier Francois Legault is also expected to reveal his own timeline for reopening his province.....More

Why the restrictions still in place for travel and mass gatherings? I would imagine that those two are of the most concerns that people will be wanting to do very soon, especially with summer coming on. Just open the f'n place up for f sakes. Enough of this crap already. The economy and the health of society is at stake here and everything must get back to normal. What is going on is abnormal for the health and well being of we the people. Our children really do need to get back to playing with their friends once again instead of trying to de-socialize them all. Wake up, Canada.

Poor fool! Taxme has NO understanding of the need for social distancing since he has been so crazy for so long

that people have been VOLUNTARILY offering HIM social distancing for many years!

Everybody avoids the crazy guy - taxme probably has not even caught a cold in years thanks to public avoidance of the loon!

Taxme is so insane that he has not realized the significance of the latest medical announcement that air conditioning can spread

Wuhan Virus - meaning that getting into large buildings with many other people and traveling in air planes are things

WE NEED TO AVOID!

Insofar as solar panels, I do not see how they make things better for anyone.

I have seen pictures of acres and acres of solar panels and it's ugly and a blight on the land. I suppose it's one thing if they're in the desert but I certainly wouldn't want to see them on good farm land or in the cities! They take up way too much room for the little they power they can produce and I think we'll find that they're not recyclable and harm the environment in the long run.

You can't get a non-resident recreational fishing lcense in BC right now.

I think Nova Scotia shut it down even for residents.

That is a long explanation for people that think in 40 character bites and have the attention span of a gnat.
Which is how governments get away with so much shit and FB and twitter have so much bullshit on them.

SO fish without one. Just say you are an aborigional. Or better yet tell the clam cop that the salmon self identify as steaks so no license required.

Speaking of fishing licenses there is a petition going around to reopen provincial parks so that people can access the boat launches. When the ice comes off all those lakes there's not going to be any way in to most of them.

The theory is that fishing is good for people and they can keep socil distance doing it.

But the reality is that the province has to be able to provide emergeny services for anyone who is using their parks. They also have to staff all those sites. They also have to put out the fires that get started.

I sympathize with my mainland fishing bros but seriously, lets keep everyone out of the parks this summer.

We are going to be in enough trouble with natural fire.

Oh Dixie - here in Ontari-owe - solar panels and wind towers are AN ESSENTIAL TOOL of LIE-beral policy!

Most of those mouldy Green power farms are owned by civil service union HOGS!

Thus we can see that encouraging mouldy green power - and offering FABULOUSLY HIGH PRICES for it - as Wynne-bag

LIE-berals did - gave to LIE-berals AN IDEAL WAY to channel MORE GRAVY to our unhappy HOGS!

Cdn govt HOGS feel that getting one third MORE PAY than other Cdns in the same line of work in private sector

AND GETTING a fabulous pension so good that it aint even LEGAL for ordinary Cdns in the same line of work

is NOT showing enough appreciation for our Heroic HOGS!

LIE-berals have NO CARE for logic - for them - MORE GRAVY is the only need and only motivator!
