Nor have I, luckily. But it was of great help to a close family member of mine, and I was grateful of the support he received.

It certainly isn't. He (my brother) faced rough challenges every day but his recovery was a blessing that we got to celebrate with him before he passed on. For that I am thankful that AA was there.

I didn't think of the meetings that would have to be cancelled. Hopefully sponsors are just a phone call/video chat away.

I was in AA and this will hurt many people struggling with the disease.

That's frightening, a loss of that support system could be a challenge to say the least. I wish all those in recovery programs well.

It'll be a completely different neighbourhood in 6 months.
I'm core urban. I see the impacts of addiction every damn time I look out the window or hangout in the yard. There isnt anything I havent seen. Ah well, it's the price you gotta pay for a big old character house nestled amongst the canopy of 110 year old elms and maples.
