One would surely hope so, Cap but things in La La land aren't all that great when it comes to voting for anyone else. Wilkinson - leader of the Libs - is nothing to write home about and no one else seems to be stepping up to the plate in any of the other parties. There is also the fact that BC is much like the ROC when it comes to votes. The East elects the governments in Canada for the most part. Here in BC, the Left Coast generally elects the government with the rest of the province - the intelligent part of it - wondering why the hell we bothered to cast a ballot.

That would be soooo frustrating

People are fed up with prosperity

B.C. economy tops in Canada: Economic Forest Council

I'm surprised that the article didn't have a glowing report on the TMX work at hand... In case you aren't familiar, TMX is that new pipeline that will be shipping a gazillion bbls of raw tar sand straight to YVR each and every day.

You guys are so lucky, except maybe for the unholy stench from that stuff - you might not be so lucky there

It will be put to good use! (I'm sure a provision can be made for nose plug sales at the airport.)

Cramer sees oil stocks in the ‘death knell phase,’ says they are the new tobacco

Key Points

  • CNBC’s Jim Cramer said Friday that oil and other fossil fuel stocks are now like tobacco stocks.
  • “This has to do with new kinds of money managers who frankly just want to appease younger people,” Cramer said. “We’re starting to see divestment all over the world.”
  • Shares of Chevron and Exxon both fell in early trading Friday after announcing quarterly results.
CNBC’s Jim Cramer said Friday that he’s done with fossil fuel stocks because young investor’s concerns about climate change are holding them down.
On “Squawk Box,” Cramer compared oil and other fossil fuel stocks to the sigma attached to investing in tobacco companies, saying they are in the “death knell phase.” He added, “They’re tobacco. I think they’re tobacco.”
“I’m done with fossil fuels ... they’re just done. We’re starting to see divestment all over the world,” Cramer said. “You’re seeing divestiture by a lot of different funds. It’s going to be a parade. It’s going to be a parade that says, ‘Look, these are tobacco and we’re not going to own them.’”
Cramer said there are reasons to think that some of the fossil fuel stocks look like attractive buying opportunities, but the desire of money managers and funds to avoid the sector makes him stay away.

You should replace your oil every 5000 kilometres. 8000 if you're using the synthetics.
So the people that sell oil changes keep telling us. All our new equipment is good for 500 hrs between oil changes. So if we are generous and say you average 100km/hr this makes 50 hours between oil changes.

What about industrial and government pension funds? That is where the real money is.
Nobody wants oil stocks.

This is the theory that Cramer has and it would be worth considering if you happen to be one of those people stupid enough to own oil and gas stocks in the first place
