Still in the $1.44 range mid island. Funny how it is the same price in Tofino as Oceanside when it is an extra 5 hr round trip for the truck.
$1.34 at Forest Grove.

prov and muni taxes are there whether gas is 1.10 or 1.70
they don't just raise taxes periodically
Taxes do not create or cause the large increases in gas prices
It does not cause these 30-40 cent price spikes
gas is down into the $1.20s after being up around $1.50 last month
I guess the gummit cut taxes by 30 cents

I think he is referring to Ontariowe. As far as I know BC pensions are covered. Unless the dippers ****ed that up already.I have a little information for you and probably for the Putz as well. Before we retired most of us made damn sure it was covered before we left the service. If you want to do some checking look into the years between 1979 and 1983 when our premiums we're paying over 20%, so I think you'd do well to shut your blow hole on that subject.![]()
Just got back from Tofino last night and it has dropped to $1.34 in Oceanside but was still $1.41 - $1.43 in Pt. Alberni.$1.34 at Forest Grove.

Getting it over "The Hump" probably costs a few pennies!

DIppers. THey have already blew the surplus they inherited 2 years ago.The dippers or all them Boomers?
Funny thing is gas is often cheaper in Tofino than Oceanside despite being at least $500 a truck load more to deliver and taxes are high in Tofino. Meanwhile it is $1.22 at Costco in Courtenay.Getting it over "The Hump" probably costs a few pennies!
How does the island get its gas? Would a Dangerous Good sailing equate to using a tanker?Just got back from Tofino last night and it has dropped to $1.34 in Oceanside but was still $1.41 - $1.43 in Pt. Alberni.

It's hard to figure out how those taxes jump around like that.Funny thing is gas is often cheaper in Tofino than Oceanside despite being at least $500 a truck load more to deliver and taxes are high in Tofino. Meanwhile it is $1.22 at Costco in Courtenay.

Everytime the price of the product goes up the government's commission goes up as well. They do not have taxpayer's best interests at heart. It's hard to figure out how those taxes jump around like that.
