With revised testimony, Sondland ties Trump to quid pro quo


In a "supplemental declaration" to his testimony, the former ambassador to the European Union said that aid to Ukraine was linked to the opening of an investigation that could damage 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden. The statement was a reversal for Gordon Sondland, a Trump donor-turned-diplomat who had been seen as a loyalist of the president with a supportive version of events.

quid pro quo is one thing...........but EXTORTION is what Trump did. He tried to BRIBE the UKR. leader with help alrady allotted to Ukraine.........for information on his political competition. The extortion was for Trump's own personal gain........using USG ( the people tax money) funds and equipment as the extortion tool. Abuse of power for personal gain. and THAT is Trump style all the way.

Maybe I misspoke, "fickle situation" may have been more correct, in that the opinions gleaned are often spur of the moment in response to a phone call and the answer is often the first thing off the top of the respondent's head. How many of them take the time to check which side their bread is buttered on? During mass random phone calls you are almost bound to catch respondents like the Putz. :)

By the way. . . for those who ask "what did he do wrong?" the answer is that when a PUBLIC official demands a PRIVATE benefit for PUBLIC money, that is called "soliciting a bribe." As in "Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors." U.S. Const., Art. II, sec. 4.

Not a very good response considering it was only democrats that were polled.ONe would expect all democrats would want THe Donald removed. Maybe they didn't get the memo from WAPO re how to vote?

And THAT is the irony about it all.


Trump was so focused on Biden, he forgot the other candidates.


I, for one, don't want Biden as Pres. And hopefully he'll drop out soon enough.


But that all of what he's done could be for nothing is the best 'comeuppance' that could ever happen to Trump.
