It will be just like Trudeau Sr. No seats in AB or SK. Sad to see Goodale lose. He was one of the few good Lieberals.

My prediction in the opening of this thread came true. Scheer just didn't have the Prime Ministerial "It Factor". There was very little in the way of platform, and simply hating on your opposition wasn't good enough.
The Cons need to show more empathy if they want to broaden the tent...on climate change...on women's right to choose...on Indigenous issues...etc.
Hopefully they will do some soul searching and learn from this experience and come back as a more inclusive party in the future.

Well my candidate Conservative MP Cathy McLeod was re-elected in our constituency by a wide margin over her nearest competitor who is a liberal running for the second time in our riding - it was a much narrower margin last time around.
CPAC has an interactive election results map for every riding in Canada that they continually update. I was just cruising around checking out different ridings in the Interior and the margins by which Conservative candidates are leading or have won over their opponents are really quite stunning. In the Peace River-Westlock Arnold Viersen has 30, 479 - his nearest rival, an NDP candidate with 3,179 with 185 out of 228 polls reporting. Ft Mac 20, 338 Con - 2,540 Lib; PG Con 14, 573 - Lib 2,631.
There are some interesting days ahead now that the liberals failed to get a majority, the Bloc getting more seats than the NDP and the Greens not doing half as well as they thought they would. Wilson-Raybould will be warming the back-benches of the HOC having won her riding.

For Justin to lead it has to be (most likely) with the NDP, and there's a solid block of blue watching.
Haven't checked out SK or AB's numbers, Ron but here in BC most especially in the Interior, where the Conservatives won - they did so with huge margins. You could almost split the province in half - Lib/NDP/Green on the Left Coast and almost solid Conservative in the Interior.

Ugh, the speeches were interminable. Somebody needs to shoot all the Bloc heads. Meanwhile Singh was yammering on like he won the election. But it was Trudeau I was interested in. Would he show some humility or would he be his usual full of shit self. Well, he didn't disappoint. Of course he didn't show any humility, the man-child has none. Nope, instead he railed on about how Canadians made a "clear" choice and gave him a mandate to blah blah blah. Last time I checked, a minority govt with less of the popular vote than the runner up doesn't have much of a mandate to do shit. Nope, instead of realizing the results were Canadians saying "Okay you can have the keys to the car back but THIS time there are limits", he went off on full retard mode. Goof boy went from 39.5% of the vote in 2015 to just 33% this time. Yet he assumes he has a clear mandate. He lost 30 seats from 2015. A smart person would read the writing on the wall. But not our Wonder Potato. In fact I'm going to go on record and state that I predict within 12-18 months, we'll be voting again.

WE will get to see who is who in the next term because the Opposition and coalition tactics will be under pretty close observation.

The only consolation is that with Northern Ontario solid orange we will have somewhat of a say in what happens in Ottawa.

It's not quite a sea of blue. It looks like 1 little island of orange around Edmonton. Or is that a printer error?
I believe, live every living creature....it needs a sphincter,......just kidding. One dot of Orange in an ocean of blue. Honestly, I was surprised by that also.
