No more financing freeloaders that clearly hate us for having money and jobs. Newfie becomes the second official language instead of a foreign one nobody speaks.
Oh boi , that should be like plucking hens .

How silly.....just as silly as PQ Separatism. There is a reason why most of Canada's territory has united.....Because, there is back-up from those of our own when things go bad. Just as Lac Megantic in PQ and the fires of Fort McMurray got the backing of most of Canada. Of course when things are going well, sharing the wealth is always a negative reaction from those who cannot see farther than their own noses.
To make Alberta great again would mean adding to the poisoning of the rest of the world. While it was a set back it was inevitable that oil goes the way of coal. Unlike coal, oil will always be in fair demand. But in the end it will be the sun that will provide most of our energy in the future. Like PQ and its harnessing of water, that provides electricity, Alberta will once more be reasonably well off through it's resources. But looking forward to the future, it behooves us to look forward to when it becomes depleted. The aim should be about renewable resources which will benefit all.

That's if there's any livable land left in this 2nd/3rd golden age. Conservatives love oil n gas and beef. But get really damned silent when lost farms, lives, water sources are all tainted for more generations than we'll likely make. And our oil is bitumen it's harder to market. Alberta is not going back to the good old days under any admin or sepparation.

Nah, I doubt we'll separate - we're land-locked so what purpose would it serve. We'll just become a have not province like Quebec and some of the Maritimes with the expectation that other provinces (like BC) will support us like we them in the past. (wishful thinking on my part don't 'cha know :))

Lost in all the whining is the simple fact that Alberta has a pipeline through BC and has been pumping oil through it for decades now.

But that is not not enough.

Alberta wants more than that.

OMG.....Is there even one normal poster here?? What we need here is one thread where you can verbally abuse the person who abused you
Do you really think you are the 1st one to think of that?? Let them fly at it to get it out of their system seems to be the chosen path around here. That is better than the ganging up that used to be the norm.

Pretend this is after and your post would be like ???

Alberta wants more than that.
Fact 1: the current pipeline is 60 years old
Fact two : the current pipeline is too small to supply demand.
Fact 3 : the anti pipeline groups are financed by U S oil interests thus making them useful idiots instead of just idiots.

Nobody in Ontario gives a flying feck about you in the West or ever even thinks of you guys.

You made the "hate" part up. Alberta is Hate Central but it's just indifference, here.

Anyway, the current regime of Social Transfer Payments is the creation of Jason Kenny. Is he some sort of mole that set it up to piss off his Separatist buddies?
