Dayton gunman Connor Betts in bar in the hours before shooting

https://www.cnn.com/2019/08/06/us/s...n-bar/index.html?cid=web-alerts&nsid=74844625

We need a LOT more study of the human mind. behavior , impulses, motivations etc..........in order to comprehend what prompts this kind of violence..........at that specific moment......
All such shooters have mental issues. Calling them evil is counterproductive and narrow minded. They are NOT normal. But easy access to weapons factors in big time too. The ease of access in the US is insane. Sadly the genie is out of the bottle and no going back.......unless there is a MAJOR cultural mindset shift.

what is also sickening is that the same words are used by politicians, by the media.......and talking heads..........then it dies down..........new news cycle....... and then comes along another shooter on some insane mission. It does not help to have POTUS who uses INFLAMMATORY LANGUAGE on a daily basis.

Are you an Adobe CS guy?

I'm interested in the Dayton shooter, ie why he shot the place up, including killing his sister.

Yes, I've heard his social media linked him - supposedly - to Warren and alt-left ideals.

Another reason why I want to know about the garbage person.

El Paso's shooter was a racist SOB and I don't believe for a second his whole "Trump didn't influence me" BS.

As of right now, I haven't heard the motive behind the Dayton shooting at all. Considering the shooter's death, there may not be one. All shooters have mental issues, left or right leaning, but you can't compare the two shootings at least for reasoning when one is so clear and the other still is unknown.

Trump inspires and has no issues with his followers shooting people, immigrants or otherwise. Hell, HE doesn't have an issue murdering people himself (in his own mind, anyway) which proves how sick he really is. The difference between the two is that Warren and whoever else Dayton's shooter connected to, will likely react appropriately to the situation, ie they will step away, disavow and push for gun controls, or something, to stop this BS.

And if they don't, then they're just as bad as Trump.

I'm not. I'm pretty indifferent to what particular flavor of crazy motivates this or that shooter.

I do know that social control helps to shift the curve in the right direction.

And deliberately getting folk het up shifts it in the wrong direction.

There were a lot of random shootings in Toronto during the "Caribana" weekend jus passed ...seems to happen every Caribana weekend. There were no fstalities.
Gun crime here, according to what the police seize, involves about 50% smuggled arms from the US and 50% legally registered but stolen or illegally re-sold firearms. One of the big differences between the shooters here and those south of the border is knowledge. Guns here are in the hands of gang-banger kids, loaded with arrogance but clueless about guns. The weekly mass murderer down in the States typically is highly trained and practiced ... a "professional" gunman if it is possible to qualify for such. They don't miss. They kill with great efficiency. The "Jamaican salute" guys are rank amateurs, just showing off to their fellow pea brains. American killers are completely focussed and they get the job done!

Yankee know-how!!

So you admit that Jamaican immigrants are not integrating into Canadian society , and are suggesting they inhabit the lower end of the gene pool ? Is that why they are such good sprinters ?

Because whataboutery is the go-to argument of the intellectually and morally bankrupt desperately seeking to divert attention from the subject.

No whatabout there, I asked a simple question, as many hurt by firearms in the park as Daytona, and not a peep, why? On top of it the mayor is firing back on people trying to bring it to light, why is there no national attention brought to this as well?

Mayor Lori Lightfoot rips Ivanka Trump’s comments about Chicago’s deadly weekend: ‘I’m not going to be distracted by nonsense tweets’
