If I were the one responsible for the teleprompter, that's something that would have been worth getting fired over. Just present the name of a fictional city as 'Aimafool' and he'd never cought on. I mean, he never cought on about the revolutionary forces storming British airports after all.
I think he's reached the age when he probably qualifies for "seniors' moments". I know I started having them when I was his age- we generally recover fairly quickly. He should have probably had Pence read the script first.
